Good nutrition could be the key to getting pregnant

A good diet could be more successful for getting pregnant than fertility treatment, reveals a new study.

The research by Foresight, a charity that helps couples conceive naturally, has suggested that nutritional therapy can be 30% more successful than IVF, and is much more affordable.

“Foresight has shown that “Nutritional Therapy” (good nutrition) can double the success rate of babies born to couples with infertility issues,” said Yvonne Bishop-Western, a nutritionist who works with the charity. “Foresight therapies achieve 72% success rate of healthy babies born while the success rate for assisted conception is only 30-47%,” she added.

“Too many people are quick to jump to the conclusion that they are infertile,” says Simon Bandy from Health Plus, a nutrition company that has created a Pregnancy Pack for couples trying to conceive. “When really their chances of conceiving could be much improved simply by better health and nutrition.”

Though there are many causes of infertility, nutrition, exercise and good health are vital, as your body needs to be in good enough condition to create and carry a growing baby.
