Not due on the street until the end of the month, our sister site MadeForMums managed to get its hands on the stylish Mamas & Papas Mylo and put it to the test for the first time ever!
The Mamas & Papas Mylo is one of the biggest, most anticipated buggy releases of the year, and we’re pleased to report, the Mylo has yet to disappoint!
While orders are currently being taken for the buggy, it won’t be delivered until later this month. Thankfully, MFM managed to get a sneak preview and has the first and exclusive real-life roadtest of the Mamas & Papas Mylo.
The Mylo has really pushed the boundaries in terms of buggy design. Some mums will love it, others will steer well clear. It’s got an amazing silhouette and it’s not for the faint hearted or lovers of traditional, vintage-inspired prams and pushchairs. It’s urban, it’s chic and it’s oh-so-modern. But the best thing about the Mylo has to be that it backs up all its pretty looks with a great performance. After putting it through its paces with 11-month-old Minnie and 12-week-old Flo, MFM’s seasoned buggy reviewer Susannah was impressed with its clever and well thought-out features.
So, lets get down to business here – what can you expect from the Mylo? The soft moulded seat unit can be used rear or forward facing, and the buggy can be folded with one hand while this is still attached to the chassis. Very handy for mums on the move!
The lie-flat hard-shell carrycot has an adjustable back- and headrest and is thickly padded. It also has a magnetic apron. One of the niftiest features has to be that this carrycot can be attached to a stand (sold separately for £60) to be used for overnight sleeping. The stand can also be used with the pushchair seat unit to create a travel highchair. Clever!
Unlike most other buggy designs, the Mylo’s seat unit and carrycot attach to the chassis at one point, and to attach or remove them you just use two paddles either side of the base.
A few more features to keep your eye out for are the extendable handle that lets you get the position just right for you, the one-touch brake and side access shopping basket. You also get to “build” your own Mylo, mixing and matching the colours you like.
Check out what MFM’s reviewer had to say after testing the Mylo – and make sure you tell us what you think too.
