16.30 Breaking news! According to Channel 4, the Camerons have named their baby girl Florence Rose Endelion Cameron. A traditional choice that matches their other two children, Nancy and Arthur.
David and Samantha Cameron are studying the baby books today to pick a Cornish name for their new baby girl. The Prime Minister and his wife are celebrating the arrival of their fourth child, three weeks early.
The baby was born by caesarean three weeks before her due date after Samantha went in to labour on the family’s holiday in Cornwall. Proud dad David has paid tribute to the Royal Cornish Hospital for their support during the “nerve-wracking” delivery.
Now the bookies are already offering odds on popular Cornish names after David let slip that there “will have to have something Cornish in there somewhere.” According to William Hill, the odds are 2/1 on Marnie, 3/1 on Enid and 3/1 on Agnes. They’ve also put Margetet at 50/1 in case the Camerons decide to pay tribute to lady Thatcher.
