Adele is "over the moon" with her baby news
Adele has announced she’s having a baby with boyfriend Simon Konecki.
The 24-year-old Someone Like You singer revealed the news on her official website.
“I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited, but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx” she wrote.
The singer, who’s topped the charts since the release of her debut album ‘19’ in 2008, has made no secret of her dreams of motherhood.
“My goal is to have three sons by the age of 30. I really wantto be a mum. I better start getting on with it!” Adele told PEOPLE magazine.
She also revealed to US Vogue she’s taking “four or five” years off to concentrate on her relationship
“If I am constantly working, my relationships fail,' she said. 'So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy.”
“Then I don't know what I'll do. Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch,” she added.
It seems like Adele’s baby wishes have come true, and this isn’t the only good news for the Grammy award winner. It’s been revealed this week that Adele’s album ‘21’, released in 2011, has the highest album sales of 2012 so far.
