Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has revealed she could adopt
Amanda Holden has revealed she's considering adopting after admitting that she won't be having anymore children as she fears trying for another baby could kill her.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, who almost died giving birth to daughter Hollie in January, said; “I don’t want to have any more children of my own – I want to live,” reports Daily Star - Sunday.
“I’ve got two beautiful girls. I’m 41 now and these are the children I was meant to have, so I won’t try for another baby,” said Amanda.
The star, who's mum to six-year-old Lexi and baby Hollie with husband Chris Hughes says she could one day expand her family by adopting or fostering.
“I’m definitely the kind of person that could adopt," she says. But those expecting an addition to the Holden/Hughes clan anytime soon, don't hold your breath. "When I’m 60 I’ll think about adopting or fostering," said Amanda.
Amanda's admitted she's been inspired by Brangelina's mix of biological and adopted children. “I don’t know how Brad and Angelina do it – they’re amazing. I’ve never seen their luggage but I struggle to pack less than five bags for us lot,” said Amanda.
Amanda had a haemorrhage and her heart stopped for 40 seconds while giving birth to Hollie after developing the condition placenta praevia, and she spent three days in intensive care.
These were not the first complications Amanda had faced due to pregnancy. Last year she had a stillborn son, which meant she had to re-shoot scenes for Britain's Got Talent in which her pregnacy was visable, and she suffered a miscarriage in 2010.
“I’m just so happy to be alive. Touch wood nothing bad will happen in the next couple of years – I don’t think I could handle any more," Amanda said.
“I always tried not to sweat the small stuff but now I sweat it even less. I have the most amazing home life and husband," said Amanda. “And not being pregnant means I can hit the margaritas. I have hardly drunk for the past three years," she added.
Wise words Amanda!
