We wonder if Chantelle's been singing "Hello, Dolly!"
Chantelle Houghton has revealed she and fiancé Alex Reid have named their daughter, more than a month after her birth.
“We have finally decided on a name for the baby. She's called Dolly!” Chantelle, who gave birth last month, wrote in her column for new! magazine.
“It's actually the original name Alex and I liked in the very beginning and we've gone back to it.”
“We loved the name Parker but it’s a bit masculine. I thought it was a bit like Victoria Beckham’s daughter’s name Harper,” Chantelle said.
“I really liked Piper as well, but I just don’t think she looks like either of them so I’ve ruled them out.”
The former Celebrity Big Brother star, who knew she was expecting a girl, admits she's had a run of broken nights but is determined to get her baby into good sleeping habits.
“The baby seems to be sleeping a bit better than she was last week, so I'm hoping that was just a blip,” Chantelle said.
"She's sleeping for around five and a half hours at a time. I'm aiming for her to be going through the night by the time she's six weeks old,” she added.
"It's not impossible in our family - my cousin went through the night at three weeks!"
After taking so long to decide on the name, we can’t help but wonder where the couple got their inspiration from? Maybe Chantelle’s a fan of the musical theatre show Hello, Dolly! or, perhaps more likely, the film adaptation starring Barbara Streisand.
Either way, baby Dolly joins Kourtney Kardashian’s mini-me and Jessica Simpson’s bundle of joy in the celebrity baby name hall of fame 2012.
