Gary makes a bid for the Celebrity Dad of the Year award after revealing he’s to become a dad again for the fourth time
Move aside Pete, Gary wants the Celeb Dad crown
Gary Barlow has taken to Twitter to announce that he’s becoming a dad for the fourth time.
The X Factor judge revealed the news on Sunday and he couldn’t be happier.
There's been a baby boom among talent show judges recently as Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden have both had babies in the past year. Is Simon next?
“My wife and I are expecting our 4th child #Anotherowngoal,” Gary tweeted.
As congratulations flooded in from his 1.3 million followers, 41-year-old Gary thanked his fans and revealed that the whole family are excited about baby Barlow joining the clan.
“What a lovely bunch you are. Thank you for all your kind messages. We are a very excited family,” he wrote.
Gary and his wife Dawn, a former Take That backing dancer, married in 2000 and are already parents to Daniel, 11, Emily, 9, and Daisy, 3.
Although the Take That star has a cabinet full of Brits and Ivor Novello Awards, he later joked that he had his eye on a different trophy: Celebrity Dad of the Year.
“Next goal Celebrity Dad of the Year” #moveasideandre,” Gary joked, referring to two-time winner, Peter Andre.
Gary is in negotiations with X Factor bosses about returning to the judging panel for the new series, so it looks like this year’s going to be a busy one. We wonder if he'll head back to work after the birth as quickly as BGT judge Amanda Holden.
