Actress Jennifer Connelly, who announced her pregnancy last month, has revealed she spent most of her first trimester dividing her time between larder and lavatory.

Despite glowing on the US TV programme The Late Show with David Letterman this week, Jennifer Connelly has revealed how the early stages of pregnancy have been anything but easy. "I'm feeling great - now. The first three months were very sketchy,” she said. “You know when you're on your cell phone and you have to stand in one spot... it was like that with nausea.”

Like other celeb mums-to-be, she also admitted to odd pregnancy cravings and a reluctance to move away from the fridge. “I had to stand in one spot, which happened to be in front of my refrigerator, which was open with me dipping pretzels in cream cheese and stuffing them in my mouth,” she joked.

This is Jennifer’s third pregnancy and her second baby with her British actor husband, Paul Bettany. If you’re suffering morning sickness, check out our top tips for beating the nausea. But take heart! Like Jennifer, your nausea should settle down as you begin your second trimester.
