Poor Christina had a bad time in the first trimester - but congrats on the arrival of her baby girl!

Christina Applegate has opened up about her early pregnancy struggles. The star explained how catching bronchitis combined with severe early pregnancy discomforts gave her a traumatic first trimester.

But despite her pregnancy woes, Christina, who overcame breast cancer in 2009, gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Sadie Grace, last month.

She told People magazine in the US, “You don't want to be nauseated and coughing up a lung. It was horrifying. I slept in a dark room for two months, crying, going, ‘This cannot be the way this is supposed to be!’”

Christina already revealed her battle with mood swings and pregnancy cravings – lets hope they’ve calmed down now her little one’s arrived!

If you're in the early stages of pregnancy, know what to do if you get poorly.
