The 23-year-old has given birth to her first child named Astala Dylan
Peaches Geldof has become a mother for the first time this week after giving birth to a baby boy who she has named Astala Dylan.
The daughter of Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates gave birth a few days earlier than her due date and took to Twitter to let her followers in on the news. "Yes, it's true- I'M A MUMMY!!!!' she said.
The 23-year-old TV presenter and her fiance Thomas Cohen, singer in band S.C.U.M, seem to be delighted at their son's arrival.
"My little boy is the most beautiful thing in the world. When he holds @tomfromscum's finger with his hand its the sweetest thing ever. X" Peaches tweeted.
The name Astala Dylan doesn't come as a surprise, as Peaches didn't keep the name secret. She had already revealed her plans for her son's name, and even tweeted a pic of her baby shower cake with the name Astala iced on the top.
"Da baby shower personalised cake!" she tweeted.
Astala is certainly an unusual baby name, and it's got us wondering what it could mean?
Peaches has a lot of musical influence in her life, her father Bob Geldof and her fiance Thomas Cohen are both musicians, so it's likely that the name Astala Dylan could be musically inpsired. The name Astala could be after Sampsa Astala the drummer for Finnish metal band Lordi, and Dylan could be a nod to Bob Dylan himself.
