You won't find Selma hiding in the bushes when she needs to feed Arthur.
Actress Selma Blair has hit out at people who complain about breastfeeding in public.
Mum-of-one Selma has said she doesn’t care where she is; if son Arthur Saint, 8 months, needs feeding, she’s not going to waste any time.
“The only time he cries is when he’s hungry,” Selma, 39, told People. “We all have nipples. I don’t care who I offend; my baby wants to eat.
“If I can’t get a cover over me quick enough, so be it.”
It’s a debate that rears up every few months, but with celeb mums Selma and Beyonce happy to feed their babies in public, they may help improve awareness for everyone. If you’re not as bold, try our top tips for breastfeeding on the go.
Selma’s certainly not shy when it comes to new-mum concerns; she’s opened up about her postnatal hair loss and has been refreshingly down to earth for a Hollywood star.
Selma also admitted she’s “really obsessed” with little Arthur and is keen to spend as much time with him as possible.
“I never want to leave his side,” she says. “I’m one of those hovering mothers and I know it’s really important to have an independent child, so I’m trying to back off, but it’s hard.
“I love him so much, and he’s so funny and cute to me.”
The doting mum added that Arthur is developing quite a personality.
“He loves music, he loves to bang on the drums,” she says. “He doesn’t mind being teased and he’s an adrenaline junkie; he likes to be thrown up in the air.”
Can you imagine what the separation anxiety will be like when she goes back to work?
