Sympathy has flooded in to Kelly Brook
Kelly Brook has been left devastated after losing her unborn baby at nearly five months of pregnancy. The model, who was expecting a baby girl with boyfriend Thom Evans, is recovering at her Kent farmhouse with Thom and her mum, reports the Daily Mail.
“I can confirm that Kelly and Thom have very sadly lost their baby,” Kelly’s spokesman said. “They request that everyone please respects their privacy at this very painful time. There will be no further comment.
Kelly’s is the third high-profile pregnancy to end in tragedy recently. Lily Allen and Amanda Holden both lost their babies after completing their first trimesters (medically the most likely time for miscarriage). But despite the worrying headlines, losing your baby after 12 weeks is still relatively rare, which is why many mums-to-be wait until this point to announce their pregnancy.
Signs of a problem to watch for include stomach cramps and bleeding, but both of these symptoms, although worth checking out, do not necessarily mean your baby is in trouble.
Kelly revealed her pregnancy just last month. Though unplanned, the couple were excited at the prospect of being parents and Kelly gushed that she had “found the one” in her rugby ace partner.
Condolences have poured in on Twitter from fans and celebrities alike. Mums Denise Van Outen and Dannii Minogue were quick to offer their sympathy.
“Sending big love to Kelly Brook and Thomas Evans,” Tweeted Dannii.
