A good career, good looks and being popular with the opposite sex are less important than a healthy sperm count, if a new poll is to be believed
A healthy sperm count means more to men than being popular with women or having a successful job, according to a new survey looking at life’s top priorities.
The poll of 3,000 men saw the lads ranking a healthy sperm count equal third with healthy bank balances, reports the Press Association.
In first place for life’s top priorities was settling down with a partner. Second spot was taken by owning a property. Sperm count beat a successful career (fourth spot) and appearance (fifth place). Being good at sport and having a nice car were equal sixth, and being popular with women was in seventh – and last – place!
The poll was conducted by the National Gamete Donation Trust, a government-funded charity. It has just started a campaign to tackle a national sperm shortage, and is encouraging men to be sperm donors
