Do you put her down in her cot through the day and in the dark? If not this might help

Not really, she always sleeps in my arms, then I put her down in the cot in the lounge, have also tried her in the bedroom and in the dark, but never sleeps more than 30 mins.

Don't know if you will read this as it is a while since you first posted your "cry for help".  Hopefully you have got it all sorted out now.  My 3 year old was the same when he was born and now my 16 week old is playing the same game.  I used to get him to sleep in my arms and then put him down.  After half an hour he was wide awake and happy and then an hour later grizzly and tired again so I would have to go through the same routine to get him to sleep again.  I now put him down in his pushchair and push him back and forth to get him to drop off.  At the moment he is still waking up after half an hour but I simply pop his dummy back in, snuggle him back under his blanket and rock his pushchair again.  He then drops off again.  He does still wake up from time to time but drops off again quite easily.  I try not to make eye contact with him as he starts to laugh and wants to play then.  Although this is not an ideal solution, he does now sleep the best part of two hours and I can manage to get things done even if it means pushing the pushchair around the house and doing everything with my free hand!  Hope this helps.

I was letting Skye fall asleep in my arms but decided she had to learn to put herself to when she was about 5 months so i was just wrapping her up and putting her in her cot im our room and she would eventually nod off to sleep. 1 month later and she knows her nap routine and goes to sleep no bother and will sleep for roughly an hour and a half
