My 4 mth old baby girl just wont sleep longer that 30 mins in the daytime, how can i get her to sleep longer.
She sleeps in the night from 9pm to 2am then 2.30am to 6/7am then 30mins -1hr later another 1 hr. Then another 1hr. Then 3 x 30 mins naps at about 1pm, 4pm and 6pm helppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
have you got any advice anywhere else yet? my baby boy who is 14 weeks old sounds almost exactly the same! he sleeps well during the nigh in a similar pattern to your baby, but daytime is a nightmare. 20min max!
kirsty, falling asleep in your arms then wakeing cause she is no longer in them, maybe thats why ,my daughter is the same she is not so bad but she is now 1 and i (recently ) had to do the leave and cry (modified to pats on the back and singing) (which worked) to have some time as it was getting silly, rock her to sleep put her down she wakes im not there she cries = one grumpy baby and tired me ,for her daytime kips i put her in her pram (.some babes mine inculded like to have a moan before suddenly falling asleep)hope this makes sense am tired and should b in me bed!!
I was letting Skye fall asleep in my arms but decided she had to learn to put herself to when she was about 5 months so i was just wrapping her up and putting her in her cot im our room and she would eventually nod off to sleep. 1 month later and she knows her nap routine and goes to sleep no bother and will sleep for roughly an hour and a half
