I have set this forum up to allow the girls from aug and sept to join together if they wish as we both seem to be pretty quiet and were all here going thro the same things just some different stages.

Hey Jennifer, found you
Just a briefing about me for this thread, I'm 6+4 today, it'll be my 1st baby but it's my 5th pregnancy. Having dreadful nausea & vomiting so far, went off sick from work yesterday as I feel very weak now. Got a scan to check for heart beat & blob this afternoon so fingers crossed for that.
Oooh hubby's home for that, catch you later xxx

Hi pippin gald you found us, im sorry to hear about your other losses and i hope this is a sticky baby for you.

Were you sick with your others they say sickness is a good sign of a strong pregnancy so i really hope that things go ok for you and will have my fingers crossed for you.

A little about me for anyone who joins im jennifer married to mark for 2yrs 3 in july have a daughter libby who is a year and a half and due baby no 2 on 12th aug but will see what date i get from my scan as they can tend to change. Im about 10+5 at the moment.

Ive had the on and off sickness unlike being sick up till 13wks last time and seem to be eating a lot more this time it helps with the sickness, im tired alot of the time and waiting to get some energy back.

Look forward to gettin to know you all.

Jennifer, libby and bump (10+5)

Hi girls,

I am just over 5 weeks pregnant with our 7th child ( 2 are my step children) and am finding this one so much different to the last4 pregnancies.  For a start I have had spotting for a couple of days which I never had before and I have also developed heartburn already.

Hope that as I am starting to feel a bit icky that this is a good sign and that the spotting was nothing to worry about.  I did phone the doctors but they weren't concerned. Also another difference is how tired I have been this time, some mornings I have to drag myself out of bed to do the school run.

I look forward to hearing how everyone gets on

Hi Jennifer,

Have spoken to the doctors and they have referred me to the Early Pregnancy Unit tomorrow so fingures crossed everything is ok.  Don't really know what they gonna do to me and that is a bit daunting but I suppose it is better than sitting at home worrying.

The spotting stopped after about 8 hrs and there has been nothing since but they still wanna have a look at me.

Hope your scan goes ok and that you start to feel a bit better soon

Hello,

I've been reading both Aug and Sept threads so thought I'd say hi on here. Due end of Sept but not totally sure on exact date yet.

Looking forward to my first midwife appointment in 2 weeks as nothing seems real at the moment but very exciting. Just hope the morning sickness doesn't start anytime soon!!

Hi girls. Just been to the early pregnancy unit and they did a scan. Good news everything is progressing nicely so I can stop panicking now. They have put it down to inplantation bleeding. x x

Hi everyone,
I've posted most of my epic tale on the sept 10 thread so I won't bore you with a repeat. Briefly I was in all weekend on IV fluids & cyclizine for the sickness. I was amazed at how quickly it took effect, started it fri night & by sat I was eating & drinking like I didn't have a care in the world! It honestly was shocking (& I felt a bit of a fraud). They let me out at 5pm Sunday eve, I came home & was fine but my midday Monday I was back to vomiting diet & fluids, even my cyclizine won't stay down grrr.
My gp has signed me off work for 2 weeks as my bp is very low & I saw my midwife yesterday who wants me to take a urine sample to the gp every other day so they can tell when I need fluids & get me in straight away. I get the feeling it's gonna be a long 1st trimester.

Lynda, glad all was ok at the early pregnancy unit - did they do an early scan?
Your very brave adding another one to your little clan, the way this pregnancy is going this will be my only child! I just don't think I could put myself through all this again, and I'm only 7 weeks into it........it's barely started!

Jennifer I bet you are so excited eh? I take it it's your dating scan? I know I can't wait for mine-to actually see something that resembles a baby will be the most precious gift ever (a bonus that my scan is 2 days after my birthday heeheehee). I hope you'll post your scan piccy up x

Hiya ladies, I'm from the Aug 10 board. My name is Louise, but pls call me Lou. I'm 10 1/2 weeks now and had to have an early dating scan as weren't sure on my dates, but it confirmed my thoughts exactly. My DD is the 20th Aug. This is my 2nd pregnancy. I have a gorgeous son called Harrison who is now 15 months old, so I also write on the Mummies of Oct 08 board! We'd only been trying for number 2 for 1 month and we caught straight away so was a massive surprise. It took us 3 yrs to fall with H, so never expected it to be so much easier this time...lets hope thats the running theme of my pregnancy & labour..."so much easier" LOL

Lots of new names to learn by merging the two boards but will be great to know each other, as I think I'm likely to go over again like last time...so we'll see.

Kate, it definitely sounds like implantation spotting babe. It can last for up to 8 days and be as short as 2 days. Its a browny colour normally. Its really normal hun, so pls don't worry. Stay positive. Is this your 1st pregnancy??

Loobyloo, glad to hear all went well at the EPU. I guess the hardest thing is to try and relax when you're constantly scared about losing it. Trust me though hun, you'll be fine.

I had my 1st booking in appt with MW today, she took a load of bloods, gave me a ton of leaflets and told me I'd only actually be seeing her 3 more times!! How mad...I guess they leave you to your own devices 2nd time round!

Thought I'd share my scan pic I had done for you all. This is my jellybean at 9+3 weeks.

Hi,

Although everything went well yesterday at the clinic, yesterday afternoon I started spotting again and haven't stopped yet.  It's like a pinky brown discharge and again it's only when I wipe.  I did have some quite bad stomache pains at work this morning and I thought that this was it it was all over.

However, when I left work to go home to rest and once I was in the comfort of my own car with noone around I did the most almighty trump and the pain dissapeared lol.  Still not convinced me and this baby are ever gonna meet face to face but am hoping that we will and am gonna keep going back to the early pregnancy unit every week if I have to just so I can relax a bit.

Hiya ladies x dont know which thread to write in so keep writing on both thanks louise for the support. Did another test today and it was still positive so took that as a good sign at least although I know doesnt alway mean anything. Equally not really had any colour in discharge today and spoke to midwife who said dont worry. Louise to be honest it only has only really happened when I have wiped 2x although I bled slightly after having sex on fri and I am wondering if this is old blood from this. There is really only a slight tint to otherwise clear discharge so am trying to stay calm, this is my second pregnancy but didnt find out till later with my last one so maybe missed the early day anxiety i am really trying to stay pos and rest x again dont know what i would dowithout website x Lynda hope all works out ok for you too xxx
27/01/2010 at 21:03

Aah Lynda, I'm sorry to hear you're still worried. Like you said, you keep going to the EPU until you start feeling a little more comfortable. Funny you should say about having wind though babes, When I had my 9 week scan they couldn't check something because there was too much "Gas" there!! I've had some pain and once trumped it's gone away. The joys of early pregnancy hey!!

Kate, take your pregnancy test as a brilliant sign hun. And no colour in the discharge is probably a better sign. Like you said the blood could very well be old blood exiting your body. Make sure you're taking the folic acid, drink plenty of water, eat well and stay positive.

Well I've now told my line manager who was thrilled to bits. I thought he'd have a bit of disappointment in his voice as I've only just gone back from having H! But he was cool.

Catch you later girls x

Hi ladies, good to hear everyone rallying around
Kate, hang in there & stay optimistic Hun
I'm feeling much more positive after managing to keep some fluids down this evening (full post on sept 2010 thread). It's amazing what a differece it can make.
Well i'm off to a happy slumber in my loving husbands arms, night night ladies xxx

Hello all

I've finally got round to posting on here after usually using the due Aug one.

I have only had a quick read through so not a lot has sunck in with regard to people from the Sept board, I'm hoping I'll get to know people's stories as I go along!

I am due on 10th August with my second baby.  Already have a 16 month old boy.  Suffered with a bit of sickness but that's just about gone now and I also had the spotting but it only lasted for about a day and as I had it a bit worse last time I didn't really panick... I think around seven weeks it's quite normal as long as there's no real pain etc.

Been getting really bad back pain though now.  I started to get lower back pain in first pregnancy around four or five months when my pump started to get big, then it hurt after labour and then it eased off until recently so I'm pretty sure it's pregnancy related but the midwife said I could just be posture!  I don't think so somehow.  It's so bad that I did a few housework jobs yesterday, nothing heavy just a bit of washing and tidying up, and when I sat down in the evening I couldn't get back up again as I seized up!  I think I'll see the doctor as I'm worried if it's like that already, what's it going to be like when I'm big and fat!?!?  Also I worry about not being able to pick my boy up or get up the stairs if he needs me etc.

I've got my scan tomorrow at 2.40pm and looking forward to it but slightly nervous.  Thinking all sorts of daft things like maybe I've imagined it and I'm not actually pregnant!  Lol... I'm sure I am though as I've got a belly and my boobs are getting huge already!  (No complaints there as they'd about disappeared after the last one.)

Good luck those who have their scans tomorrow, look forward to lots of good news!

Take care

Dawn xx

Hi all

I am new to the site, a friend told me how fantastic it was and that i should join.  Its been really great reading all your stories.  A bit about me - I am 26 and already have 2 boys aged 8 and 5 and baby bean is due August 17th.  Was a major shock and definitely not planned, but getting used to idea now  . Ive aready had one scan at 8 weeks +2 as had no idea about due dates as was still on the pill when conceived, and i bled really heavily in december so they wanted to check everything ok. Which thankfully it was.  Have my 12 week proper scan tomorrow at 3.30pm which im still a bit nervous and excited about.

Ive been reading all your stories with great interest - pippin youve been through so much already.  I have been very sick in the mornings which has caused my bp to be low (although not quite as low as yours) but that has started improving the last few days.  You will get there eventually!

Well I hope everyones got something nice planned for today - im off to clean the house - grrrrrrrrrr
