Afternoon ladies,

Had my scan date through and it'll be 23rd August. Starting to feel a bit more real now I'm feeling sick and tired all the time. How is everyone coping with a little one to look after as well. Definitely harder trying to cope with symptoms this time round, esp after a rather sleep deprived night with Hattie last night  - pesky teeth!

All I want to do is get home from work and have a nap(!)

Fingers crossed its not slapped cheek and she's feeling well again soon. x

im sorry you two still are feeling sick and i hope it goes away soon.

jen can you change my date to 23rd march got that a bit wrong didnt i! to be honest i just added on 9 months and forgot the extra 7 days.must be that baby brain eh! still got that from georgia.

is everyone having the nuchal scan? i will be as i couldnt have it last time unless i went private but theyve rolled it out on the nhs now.

Its nothing serious but can be dangerous for pregnant women who are less than 20 weeks. If you havent had it yourself, most adults have and some without even knowing it but im not aware of having had it and my mum doesnt think I have either. Im not sure if its what Carla had but it is a possibility just hope it wasnt.

ClaireP your hospital must be very efficient I didnt get my scan date through until a week before! I think down here the midwife passes the details on to the hospital after the booking appointment. 

Im finding the whole cooking thing difficult and meal times as I dont really want much to do with food atm

the sickness has hit felt really sick as soon as i stepped out of bed this morning! had a really bad nights sleep with horrible dreams (had bad dreams last time too) things like bad things happening to me and my family, woke up crying at 1 stage it was so real. does anyone else have bad dreams when pg?? going to have a bit of toast in a bit see if that helps. anyone else got any tips for settling stomachs??

sorry to hear about all the sickness  I'm feeling pretty rough too and actually threw up last night......from what i rememeber of my last pregnancy it can get a lot worse from here, though, just praying it doesnt get worse this time!

I've been having a lot of pain inmy left hand side and had to see the doc yesterday. He mentioned ectopic pregnanacy (!) but since I've had no bleeding he said just to keep an eye on it. The pain woke me up this morning and doesnt seem to be subsiding so I'm starting to feel a bit worried now. A different doc is supposed to be phoning me today to see how I am. Really hope it's nothing to be concerned about.

Your bad dreams sound horrible Claire. Did you have them all the way through last time? My sleep is definitely more restless and I am more aware of my dreams but nothing too bad yet (although all this morning I dreamt of having to go to the hospital with this pain!)

If anyone has any tips whatsoever for the sickness I'm also all ears!! I'm just tryng to constantly nibble on things!

Morning everyone!

 I've come across from the other Due March thread. I'm due 12th March with my second.

 Mum2J, I had to have the chicken pox vaccination and I always went ahead and went on holiday. Got back last night.

 I've started to feel REALLY sick now, started bang on 7 weeks. I hate it. Didn't have anything like this with my 1st!

sounds like most of us are suffering with the nausea now didn't have any of this with georgia, did have the dodgy dreams tho, i cant remember if they passed or went all the way through. short memory at the best of times, let alone when pg!

g just gone up for her nap so im going to lay down and watch rubbish on tv for an hour before hubby gets in from work (they have early finish on fri's)

          Well been pretty lucky so far with symptons just feeling really tired and a bit queasy but no sickness yet !!Still at that stage that I dont feel pregnant just over 7 weeks now and just want the time to come for my 12 week scan which will make it all real !!

Glad someone else is having weird dreams my hubby was beginning to get a bit freaked out . I have been telling him about my dreams in the morning which have involved someone trying to murder us all !! It changes every night on how its happening but same type of dream hope it passes soon !!

Hope you are all well today just going to catch up on some housework then put my feet up !! Oh meant to ask does anyone else feel that they really cant be bothered socialising at the moment ? Our friends keep trying to arrange a get together but I just cant be bothered and feel really bad that I feel like this as they dont know Im pregnant and probably think Im just being funny with them !!

Hope you're all enjoying your weekends? I had an early scan at 8 weeks with babybond today and was very pleased to see a strong heartbeat on the little bean. Can't wait for my 12 weeks scan now, it's amazing how much they develop in 4 short weeks.

 Still feeling a bit green around the gills but not too bad.....YET!

Glas everyones doing well, phoned midwife today as still feeling worried and have blood tests tuesday. Other than that they said theres nothing that can be done in the meantime and results could take 10-14 days.

Not been feeling so sick today bit queasy but not too bad, my friend whos a week and 3 days ahead of me had got her scan date through today and its a week tuesday. Bit dissapointed as i wont have even seen the midwife by then because shes on holiday.

I was supposed to be going out for a meal with friends monday but will have to cancel as my friend is goin and shes only 10 weeks pregnant so dont wan to risk it. Havent seen them all in ages so bit dissapointed.

Who has had their booking appointment so far?

I've had my booking in app and now won't see the MW until 16 weeks, the hospital Im going to doesnt do the NT scan so looking for a private one.

felt sick 1st thing but it passed after brekkie!

had a yummie curry last nightreally enjoyed it, just missed the accompanying glass of vino a bit-never mind only 7ish months or plus 6 months if breastfeeding!!

ive got my home mw appt on 24th aug, and ive got hospital appt around then too im under consultant care because of my thyroid. my mw has sent off for my scan so just waiting for the appt theres nothing like seeing your baby for the first time-cant wait.

I've got my booking in appointment on Wednesday but haven't had a scan date through yet. it should be at the end of August, but we shall see.

I'm with you on missing the vino. Could really do with a glass. Still, as you say, not too long (wishful thinking) until we can indulge!

Im lucky as I never really drink anyway, never have really apart from when I was younger. I just prefer soft drinks I guess. I went about 2 years with my daughter and only drank on one occasion when I was breastfeeding expressed ready for her but it really didnt bother me!! Guess im lucky, but it can be horrible when the fairs in town or we go swimming as it limits what you can do. Well worth it in the end though.  

I cant wait to have this blood test and get the results as even though I am staying positive as soon as I get twinge or perios type pains where everythings stretching I start to worry.

Will be 9 weeks tomorrow Seems to have gone pretty quick so far. Are the other 2nd time mums findin that?

I'm brand new to the pregnancy thing, this'll be my first baby I think I'm about 7 weeks and I'm due approx 21st March....really excited and a little nervous! It's great reading through everyone's comments, it's reassuring to read that other mums-to-be have the same worries and questions rotating round their heads

 Had an early scan at the hospital on Friday as still in pain. Thankfully we saw a tiny blob and a wee heart beating - in the right place! So ectopic def ruled out! Very relieved! They couldnt figure out what the pain is. It's still there but is coming an going now instead of all the time. Maybe it's just my womb stretching.....?

Feeling sooooooo sick! Spent all day yesterday sleeping and trying to keep a bit of food down. At work today and struggling to function  - this part just cant go quick enough for me!

Got my booking appt 16th Aug. Will be 8 weeks then so should get scan date in for the month after that.

Welcome islaasil! This is a really good website, I used it with my first pregnancy and everyone is always very helpful. No question too graphic or stupid!

I'm 8 weeks, 3 days and it seems to be taking forever Jen! I'm very impatient though. When do you get your results?

I'm at work too Laura, would much rathr be at home in bed with a nice cup of tea!

Morning ladies!

It all seems to be going quite quickly for me. I'm 9 weeks today and got scan in 3 weeks. They do seem very organised around here as had booking in appt at 6 weeks!

Still feeling queazy unless I'm eating. Trying to not eat too much so I don't end up the size of a house! Bought myself a maternity swimming costume yesterday for when I take the munchkin for her swimming lessons on a friday - Its only early days buy my normal costume is already a bit of a squeeze and I've just booked onto the next lot of swimming lessons so will get plenty of wear out of it

gone off tea properly now. Thought it'd be different this time. Not sure what I'm going to drink in the winter as I only ever drink tea!!!  

At work too but its not so bad during the summer (I work in a school) so get plenty of time to relax. Find it hard when I pick Hattie up from nursery and have to entertain her for 3 hours before OH gets home from work. I just want a nap!

Midwife phones today wants to see me to give me my bloods paper work and said she will do my booking appointment aswell seeing as im 9 weeks! So thats good! Will get my bloods done today then just gotta wait up to 2 weeks for results hopefully will be a lot quicker though.

Laura where exactly is your pain could it be joint or ligament pain? Some people get SPD very early on.

Im feeling better with the sickness havent actually been sick or a good few days now just feeling queasy and off food.

Claire you will its probably just the sickness putting you off tea atm you might want to drink it in a few weeks once all the early pregnancy niggles are gone
