September '09 Mummys and Babies

Hi.  i cannot find a thread for Due Sept 09 so i thought i would start my own!! if there is already another one please let me know and i will jump ship- thanks!!

Well a bit about me........................... i only did a test last night after my period was 5 days late. And it was positive!!!!!!!!!!!! it still hasnt sunk in fully- and i have hardly slept all night. i had an idea i was pregnant, as it is not my first- i have a daughter who will be one year old on 25 february!!! yes, so by next Christmas i could have 2 babies (OR more- terrifying thought!! multiple pregnancy- argggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!)

The test says i am 4-5 weeks now and i have calculated that am due around 10 september.

I am in the middle of feeling elated-terrified at the moment

oh yeah, my name is Lynne, I am 39, will be 40 in May. i am already a veteran of this site, as i was a member of Due March 08 thread, which is now March 08 Mummies and Babies. i have made some of the most fabulous friends ever, as we shared all our experiences (most of us with a 1st pregnancy), then we started to chat on the phone when on maternity leave, and since having the babies some of us have met up, even travelling hundreds of miles to do so.

Lets hope i can make some more through this thread............................ and as it is now my second pregnancy, maybe i can answer some questions - and be of help , as this site has been to me in the past

Better go for now, as my gorgeous little 10 month old daughter, Erin, has awoken- she is going to have to grow up fast now! poor babe. and i suppose i am going to have to stop breast feeding. Still a lot to take in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my god, I can't believe there is a Sept 09 thread already!  Just wanted to say a big congratulations and good luck for your pregnancy.  I was on the Sept 08 thread and had my little girl Freya on Sept 12th.  I was only saying the other day I can't believe it was a year ago I found out I was pregnant. It's all gone so fast.

Hope it all goes well and I'm sure you'll have people joining you soon

Congratulations! Im crashing in from the due FEB 09  thread hope you don't mind but with every month that there is the next due ........09 it makes my time go quicker if you get what I mean?!? anyway congratulations I can't imagine being pregnany again in a year or so?! I really admire you, do you mind me asking if it was planned or a complete surprise?

ps Gemma if we are have a girl (don't know what it is yet!) she is going to be called freya, its a beautiful name.

Hi girls, just a quickie. thanks for the lovely words................ as for whether we were trying. Well we were not- not trying if that makes sense????????? We only had Erin after some fertility treatment and after about 3 years of trying. i had clomid tablets and luckily they worked 3rd month around. My partner works away at sea for many months as well so maked it even harder to catch first time. well this time we were trying for a few months - a few months ago, but nothing was happening, and as time went by and Erin has gotten bigger and heavier (i suffer from fibromyalgia), i started thinking that one baby was enough, and that i was too old to have another. We agreed that we were over the moon with our daughter and were happy with one child, and really stopped thinking about it. i really thought nothing would happen naturally and made the decision not to opt for any further tests or fertility treatment. Then....BAM!! as soon as i took my eye off my monthly cycle and just began to put the idea out of my head then i find out that i am pregnant- and naturally this time!!! we are both a bit shocked (i am happy but bloody terrified too- Mike is just shocked and getting his head around it at the moment)

The worst thing for Mike is that he is due to go away to the Gulf for 4 months. He is then due 3 months off, but as last time, if he wants to be here for the birth and the first few months he will have to go away to sea for at least 6 months now- and he is gutted that he will be away from Erin for so long. he was already finding it hard to leave her for 4 months and miss her 1st birthday........ he is gutted now. in fact he not saying a lot about it at all at the moment??????????

 I have also just found out (on Sunday) that I am pregnant!!!  Apparantly my due date is 11th September, has come as a bit of a shock to say the least!

 I am 31 years old, and already have 3 boys, aged 8, 3 and 20 months, but am really looking forward to having another little one around the house!

 Would be great to meet some other mums-to-be to go through all the pregnancy stages with

I only found out on sunday too, and am due 10th of sept! We are both going to go through all the same things at the same time. Was yours planned (if u dont mind me asking?) and how are you feeling about it? I am terrified as Erin will only be 19mths when i give birth and i will be on my own for most of the pregnancy as my partner will be away at sea- he will be staying away a few months longer than usual so he can take a good bit of paternity leave off

I see that the gap between your last 2 boys was similar to the gap that i am going to have between my two. You can give me lots of advice!! See you started your family in your twenties, i wish i had, but life doesnt always work out that way does it- u got to be with the right person etc.. i wish i was young enough to have loads more, but this will probably be our last

hi ladies im gem found out im pg on the 27th dec i wasnt going to post but ive changed my mind heres a bit about me my name is gemma im 25 i have a 6yr old DD and a 7yr old DD i also have had 5 MCS so were hopeing this is our sticky one this baby is due 7th ov sept i have an early scan booked for next wed so heres to hopeing we have good news then

Hi again everyone

The pregnancy was kind of planned lol, we decided that we should try for another but with my previous pregnancies they have taken at least 6 months to fall pregnant, where as this time it happened straight away, so has come as a bit of a shock!

Looking forward to the next 9 months (well, if you take away the morning sickness, headaches and the fact that I can't seem to stop eating already - gonna be the size of a mountain by the end of this if I dont watch out!)

 Hoping you're feeling well and keeping fingers x for us all over the next few early weeks

we are growing already- as a thread!

and our waistlines- I look about 3-4 months pregnant already and should only be 5 weeks tomorrow. I havent even been to the docs yet, going to go and get booked in next week but i am beginning to wonder if i am more than 5 weeks, never missed any other periods tho?

Re- eating, i am either starving, or feel sick. Luckily I seem to be craving really healthy stuff, probably as it is new year and b4 i knew was pregnant was going to go on a diet. Apples, hummous, grapes, yogurts- Sure it is a phase that will pass! lol!

hi lynne thanks very much hun hehe i no what u mean about thye waistline i look a good 3-4mnths pg as well im doing quite well on the symp front i only have occasional heartburn but i do have back ache a lot and sore boobies lol to a point when i steer the car round a bend they hurt haha and im tired a lot but i work nights so that doesnt help lol

Hi everyone

 Wow, twins and another on the way!!!!  My sister is due to have twin boys, and will be induced on 23rd Jan if they do not come before!

I live in Weymouth, its nice to be near the sea but blinking freezing here at the moment.

I am suffering from real bad nausea, but at least not actually being sick so that is a bonus, hoping it will ease off sooner rather than later, the only thing that seems to make me feel better is eating (and not healthy stuff either lol!)

I went to the docs today and told him my news (still not told any family or friends). i have my first midwives appointment on 10 feb. it is a bit sad that mike will miss going thu it all with me again. He goes away to sea on 23rd january for 4-6mths ,so will miss appointments, scans etc.

Will pop back on tomorrow evening. xx

Can't believe you already have a midwifes appt Lynn!  I was at the docs over a week ago as I had to check if I could continue to take my tablets after finding out I was pregnant - and am still waiting to hear from the midwife lol!  Shame about your hubby missing out on all the appts though sweetie

 Take care everyone, will be back to see how you are all doing tomorrow - I have been feeling extremely sick and headachy now for the last 4 days

hi girls just a quick update i went for my scan today we have a little 6 week 3.5mm ickle pea with a heatbeat im sooo excited hope ur al doing ok
