Hi, I am 25 week pregnant and currently in a redundancy situation with my employer (whom I have worked for 12 years). They are looking for me to sign a "compromise agreement" - there has been no mention of Statutory Maternity Pay in this and when I asked my HR team about this they advised that I would not be entitled to SMP as it is not officially a redundancy but a compromise agreement! I know I am going to have to contact a solicitor on this matter but just wondering if anyone has undergone any similar experiences or has knowledge of these matters??
