Had ovarian drilling for PCOS

I had an ovarian drilling on monday in hope that i will ovulate better with clomid.

They found many cysts on each ovary.

had to have gp out last night as i'm in so much pain from the op and so swollen-i can hardly move. I have 3 cuts with dissolvable stitches and am very bruised.

I actually thought it would be a straight forward procedure and was told i would feel uncomfortable for 24 hours after surgery-load of crap! i have never been in so much pain in all my life and when i finally managed to stand up i walk (if you can call it walking) like i've soiled my pants. which brings me to another problem-i cant actually wear any pants as they would interfere with my stitches.

I have 1 of the cuts which is badly seeping and have very strange discharge when i wipe myself!

I came round from the anaesthetic with a bust bottom lip and a small chunk missing from the back of my throat!

All in all-not a good experience at all and am so frustrated as i'm usually an active person and likes to be constantly on the go with cleaning etc but i struggle to move at all.

Hi zolo,

sorry for not replying ive not had chance to come online for a while.

Ovarian Drilling is an operation where they 'burn' a few holes in each ovary which should stimulate them into ovulating.

The seeping was bacuse they put fluid around my ovaries after the drilling to stop them sticking to my kidneys etc sticking to them and this seeps through the incisions.

The bust lip and chunk missing from back of my throat was where they inserted a tube down my throat quickly.

I asked all these questions a couple of weeks ago as they concerned me and was quite unnerved about it all.

Im feeling much better now but still have the stitches-they dont seem to want to come out!

Im just keeping my fingers crossed that this will be my month

Thanks for replying

Love Lynsey x
