Oooo its so quiet on here. Well not much to report, just that Thomas' teeth are almost through now. Its the fang teeth, he's so grumpy and unsettled cos of it- poor boy. Holiday Fri- cant wait. Got so much to get ready, I've never been so unprepared. Was suposed to be taking Thomas swimming today but my friend called me first thing to tell me she couldn't come cos she had had a miscarriage! I feel so sorry for her. I didnt know she was preg as she was only 7 or 8 weeks. She called Dr yesterday as she has dark bleeding and he said its ok its the end of your last period, then she had cramping through the night and got up today to heavy fresh blood. I'm so sad 4 her I cant imagne how she feels. Any advice on what I can do for her/ say. I bet ppl say all the wrong things. When my mum miscarried someone said oh well you can have another. Thats terrible isnt it! I'll pop on before I go. See ifr anyones been on with any tales. Laura x

Hello folks Its all very quiet on here. Well we took Olivia for her weigh in this morning and she's 15lb 11oz. There were loads of babies there waiting to be weighed and poor Olivia needed a feed but I wanted a true readsing but with a belly full of milk. We were expecting 16lbs but she's not far off. Laura - lucky you a holiday! Claire - just to let you know Olivia's cradle cap has cleared and not come back (yet) touch wood! Only used it twice and it seems to have done the trick. well off to feed the lo back on later. xxxxx

Hi, Laura - have a lovely holiday. The break will do you the world of good. Karen, my friend has a little boy born on 8th May and he is now 15lb 14oz. HV told her she needs to start weaning him. You've started with Olivia haven't you? How you going with it? Oliver was 15lb 4oz last week. It's his christening on Sunday. I'm dreading it now as my OH's family are not my favourtite people at the minute. He cries whenever my OH's Mum goes near him and on Sat she said we are turning him into a brat! I could've hit her! Then on Sunday she refused to talk or go near him. How childish is that? So as you can imagine, she is not my favourite person at the minute! Olivers passport came today for when we go to Benidorm - 4weeks today! I'm looking forward to the holiday but not the fact we're going with his Mum and Dad. Ergh. Aren't I a mardy bum ha ha ha. Hope everyone else is good anyway x

Hiya Katie Well Ive jinda started weaning but its more like introducing it to her. She doesnt like as she starts blowing bubbles with it! lol! Of bet you cant wait to for your jollies. Maybe Oliver doesnt like the look of your OH's mum. Sound silly but Olivia hates being carried by older people and screams at the top of her lungs. When she's like this only I can really calm her down really quickly. My OH says that she's going to be stuck on me but what do you expect when Im the one whose looking after her whilst he's at work. Right Im off to bed. Nite nite xxx

Karen, my OH says the same. But when he's at home he still doesn't do anything with Oliver so when I'm doing everything 24/7, Oliver is bound to be clingy! He thinks I'm been silly. Sarah, have you bought a wedding dress yet? I found a great website which sells the dresses in America and they seem really cheap. I'm not sure how much they cost to import but my plan is to go try some on then see if it's cheaper to get it online with them. web is - http://www.tjformal.com/Categories/Wedding-Attire/171 Also got my bridesmaid dresses on sale at Debenhams. They were £90 each but are £72 on sale. x

I applied for his passport today as I have decided to go woth my friend to Florida for a week - now im dreading it a bit though - as don't know where the money is coming from. Anyway we are only 2weeks into ramadan and my OH is doing my head in, even more moody as he can't eat, drink or smoke till sunset. Oh Joy Anyway must go Lou

Hello all- am in Ireland visiting the inlaws, so must be quick. Just wanted to say good luck Katie for baptism tomorrow! All babies seem to be doing very well and getting on the solids- Lucy only just starting to consider swallowing her rice and sweet potato, but at least she is taking some of it now. Sarah, good luck with wedding prep- keep us all posted, I love hearing about weddings. Karen, thanks for the info on cradle cap- good to hear Olivia's has gone- what was the name of the potion again?? Off to eat a huge sticky bun.....naughty naughty...... Take care girls, Claire xxxxxx

Claire - Potion is called Capasal. Word of wording - it reeks! I only use a drop as it lathers up really well. Hope your jollies are well in Ireland. Olivia is talking loads now. She was awake @ 6.30am this morning kicking and waving her arms about and hitting both of us. When I looked at her she was babbling and blowing bubbles with her saliva. Lovely! Went to see a new cousin last night called Elliot. He was born 10lbs and now he's 11. Such a gorgeous baby. Half chinese and half english. Gorgeous bluey green eyes with a cute little curl on the front of his head. Aww. I miss Olivia at that size! His big sister Ayeesha (not sure of spelling!) is gorgeous too, she's got brown eyes. Weather isnt too bad so I might stick Olivia in her sling and go for a wonder after the Formula 1. Karen xxxxx

Hi all, Haven't posted for ages but have been reading all your posts! Lou - I'm sure the break will do u good! Wish I cud have a break! Linz - Abbi weighs 14lb at 18 weeks but I haven't started weaning her yet as I have tried but she just isn't interested. Is anyone else having trouble with their OH's adapting! We just seem to be growing further and further apart as he never really wanted children and makes it known everytime Abbi crys or screams! He storms out of the house when she starts screaming and I'm beginning to wonder whether it is worth us being together if he doesn't want our daughter! I'm fed up of him taking all the smiles but moaning as soon as she isn't smiling. Sorry for the moan! Just have to moan to someone n can't moan to OH! Hope everyone is ok! Gemma x x x

aw gemma, hope ur ok sending a huge hug! men can b soo deep smetimes n cm horrible without even realising it,just like us women r bad 4 looking in2 ething 2 much! can i ask did u fall preg by accident? either way i wld sit dwn n talk 2 him tell him exactly how ur feeling n how upset its making u coz if u dnt without u realising it therel b a wedge that grows betwn uz n ul end up resenting him n doing more 4 abbi, not letting him do as much n b4 u know it hell feel even more distant with both u n abbi-i babble alot but does that make sense! my hubby was bit like that when i started 2 wean rhys as he wld only take food n milk 4om me n without realising it i ended up doing more with rhys just coz it was easier n then when rhys was upset gordon found it hard as he cldnt settle him as easily making rhys even more of a mummys boy! what we done is just percevered n gordon carried on feeding him if he was upset rather than me taking over n in turn he gets just as much smiles n grumps as i do now! hope thats helped a lil! think all daddies being honest find it harder coz theyv got 2 wrk n dont rly have that sme special bond, def speak 2 him tho if nething itl get it off ur chest! nothing rly 2 report xcepy rhys has 2day bn a lil angel, only cried once 4 abt a min-thats sooooooooo gd 4him he cries more than ne baby i kno-mainly dwn 2 reflux tho! hope uz all had gd wkend, pop on 2moz after baby massage! hugss xx

Gemma- I agree with Linz- you seriously need to sit this man down and have a chat- just be open and honest with him and maybe once he realises you and Abbi need him then he will chill and bond? At the end of the day, personally I think Abbi is the most important one here and she may pick up on tension/unhappiness etc and then it becomes a vicious circle with her being unhappy which makes you unhappy and so on. You are her most precious contact and you need to be happy too, and be able to enjoy her, so please look after yourself, honey!! xxxx Karen, thanks for the reminder- I am in 2 minds whether to do it or not as her cradle cap is not very obvious and seems to be slowly reducing on its own, so I will prob hang on just now and see what happens over the next couple of weeks... Good to hear wee Rhys is having better days, wee soul. xx Speak soon, take care. Claire xx

Hi everyone, I've not been on here for ages so I hope your all ok and enjoying your babies. Got to announce this: Meg just ate 4 spoon fulls of baby rice mixed with my milk. Hurrah and on the first attempt. Im so excited. LOL HV had told me not to start yet as she's only 4 months but honestly I think they talk out of their bums as Meg was so hungry bless. Very happy day. So whats new.....can't read all posts as Meg is giving me the eye for ignoring her LOL. Em x

Hi everyone, Katie - hope the baptism went well. Gemma - Keep ur chin up, men are so bloody pathetic at times. I had a really bad night last night with Amir and all my OH did was moan, he doesn't realise I have to work aswell. Amir is doing really well with the weaning and I can't believe that he has eaten everything that I have given him. Im trying to make alot of stuff myself and freeze it. Anyway take care Lou

Hello all- Hope everyone is well- Lucy has Scarlatina (child form of Scarlet Fever) and is on penicillin and Calpol- poor wee soul is covered in an angry red rash and is really in pain some of the time. I am also feeling crap....must have caught a version of it and am really aching all over, including bizarre areas like my wrists and jaw!!?? Doctor said I would prob get it and so would Soph and hubby, so we are pretty much quarantined for the next few days. Luckily it takes a lot to put Lucy off her food, so she is drinking plenty milk but still quite slow on the uptake of solids. How is everyone else doing with weaning? Amir and Meg sound like they are loving it! Lucy is slow like Soph was, prob took her a good few weeks til she was really into it. It is also raining here and has been since first thing this morning, but I don't mind if we are housebound anyway. Mind you, come Friday I am sure the cabin fever will have sent us round the bend..... Hope you are all well........better than us anyway! Claire xx

Hi, Thanks for all your messages. Olivers christening was brilliant. He was good as gold and we had a fab day. I'll be putting pics on FB at weekend. I planned not to get drunk but I was gone! Tom looked after Oliver Sun night! He got loads of presents and money. Very spoilt! Will pop back on when I get more time x

Aw Katie so pleased that the christening was brilliant and Oliver was good as gold! Well Olivia had her 3rd set of jabs today. She didnt cry after being pricked but 3 hours later at home she was climbing the walls with pain. God love her. Already gave her a shot of calpol. She was getting cuddles off me whilst I was holding 2 ice packs on either leg. I also got a shock of my life after we came home from the docs. Put her in bed for a nap and heard her cry so when I went to check on her all I saw was this dark patch on her cheek and also spots on the mattress cover. Switch on the light and there I see her with a massive scratch on her cheek, its about an inch long. She is now sleeping with mitts on, doesnt like it as she cant get to her fingers but tough. We only cut her nails on Sunday, they do feel sharp but arent long enough to cut. Well Im heading off to bed. Hope everyone is ok. xxxx
