ah am pleased for you. was you trying? I am 8 weeks today, had my first visit with the midwife, she didnt say much just that she will come visit me day after my dating scan which is on 15th, will be 9 weeks and three days then. I found out real early i did, i did test day after my period was due i just knew dont ask me how. This is my first pregnancy what about you?

How are you feeling?

congrats to you both!

i gave birth to a baby girl, emma six weeks ago in august and im really enjoying looking after her. i took her for the first time today for shopping and it went well. it still hasnt sunk in yet that im a mum. she is beautiful and looks like a minature of her dad which is lovely and my parents adore her too.

if this is your first then enjoy your nights sleep while you can, its worth it!

Hi everyone decided to join the due June '08.  Had 2 previous miscarriages one in march and one in june and never joined the thread so maybe joining early will bring me some luck.  By my dates i am 5 weeks tomorrow and worked out ill be due around the 10th June.  Hoping to get a scan next week to confirm everythings ok this time.  Last week seemed to have loads of symptoms but this week they seem to have disappeared except for the sore boobs and needing to wee all the time!!  Anyone else got any symptoms yet? I don't feel as tired this week either, but keep testing everyday and the line is getting stronger - think im going a bit mad to be honest but just want everything to go ok this time.

Congratulations to all the other pregnant people we will get through this together. x.

Hi Liz,

im due roughly about 17th june according to doc, i will be 4 weeks on friday. have got really sore boobs and having quite a lot of nausea and having af like cramps but apart from that.

Im sure everything will be ok for you, its not mad to test all the time its normal to be concerned.

We certainly will get through this together.

Ergh I feel so sick today, it totally sucks!!! And definitely in need of a new bra! Ordered a load of nice clothes from a catalog last month when I was on WW, and had to send them back as soon as I found out i was PG lol. Have gained weight in water I think! It sucks! I lost a stone on WW and now I'm gunna put it back on EEK!! lol.

I'm so glad I've got people to rant with!

Hey has anyone nicknamed their (soon-to-be) bump??

My OH and I call it Rice-baby!! lol. We read somewhere that about now it will be the size of a grain of rice hehe. I think that name will stick until it's here hehe

Morning Julz

I keep refering to baby as ricey!! how mad is that!!!

Nightmare about your clothes but hey at least its for a good reason.

Well i have a battle going on at the mo, unfortunately im a smoker but i really want to quit. I spoke to the docs about it and they advised the best way is to go cold turkey or to cut back drastically and then quit. I will do it as im determind to do best for baby, its just really hard!!

Ill get there i guess

Hope you are doing well

Thanks! I was a bit bored when I started the thread on my own lol.

I've never smoked so don't have to worry about that, good luck giving up, I'm sure you'll do it, got a good enough reason now anywho...

Yeh i bet you were willing other people to be pg so you wouldnt be on your own for too long!!

I will defo do it, may take a week or two but i will definately get there.

Are you having any other symptoms apart from sickness and sore boobs?

K xxx

MAJOR major tiredness!! I may not even get properly dressed today, been kipping on the sofa watching jeremy kyle lol. I'm so tried and feeling sicky. I did have cramps, mild ones, but they are tailing off now, still getting them a few times a day but not as often as I was last week.

Hey, why don't you try starting a thread to see if there's anyone else who needs to quit that you can chat with!? Might help...?

Morning ladies,

Julz its meant to be a good sign to feel sick so don't let it get you down.  I felt slightly sickly this morning but nothing to write home about! However did another test with 2 strong lines so that made me feel better.

Kirsty I can understand where your coming from with the smoking - not that im a smoker myself but i like my wine, its really frustrating when everyone sitting there with their wine and im there with my lemonade!! However its all for a good cause it will be worth it in the end and to be honest probably do me some good to give up wine for a bit - god I sound like a right alcoholic don't I im really not that bad!

Can't say ive thought of any nicknames this time but from scans in the past it has certainly reminded me of a bean/blob however bean sounds nicer.

The only symptoms i have now is sore boobs what about anyone else today?

liz x.

I have to keep reminding myself that sick=good when I've spent most of my life thinking sick=hangover lol. Not that I drink loads, infact I think I've only had a couple this whole YEAR!!!! lol I'm not really fond of alcohol, Only ever drink a bit of wine now and again (rarely), but obviously not anymore!!!

I'm needing to buy a new bra, all mine are underwired and I want something comfy now. I couldn't care what it looks like!  They're starting to feel too restricting round my ribcage when I'm feeling sick.

I think i may start a thread and see how anyone else gave up.

Liz, you dont sound like an alcoholic at all, we have to give up some of the small things we enjoy through the pregnancy...like you say its for good reason and im sure we will bth be fine.

I have sore boobs and getting lot of cramps, they are not painful more a little uncomfortable but just a milder version of af cramps but im getting them a lot. getting a bit of nausea but not been sick yet and i am tired all the time!!!!! blimey im only 3+4, god knows what ill be like in a couple of weeks!!

Are any of you booked in to see midwife or anyone yet? Liz, you are having an early scan aren't you?

I have got to have appointment with my booking clinic when im 7 weeks and they will do all the paperwork etc, then refer me to midwife. thats another 3 and bit weeks away, feels like ages esp as all i can think of at the moment is being pregnant....is that just me doing that???
