Damn look at all the typo's in my post!!
Hello everyone Julz- Wow Tyler is certainly getting big. It is scary when you think that some of the babies will be on solids soon, oh I can picture the mess already Kirsty - Glad that Toby is doing well and growing wellAsh - Hope you and Aiden are doing well, everytime Isla smiles it's like the best thing I have ever seen. You could just watch them all day, couldn't youVicky - Has Logan's hungry spell passed? It's no fun feeding constantly but it's all worth it when you see how much the little ones have grown. I tried expressing whilst feeding Isla this morning any can't believe how much easier it was. Will definately be trying that more.Christina - Hope you are having a lovely holiday (not sure if you are home yet or still in the sunshine)Bev - Hope that you and Ben are settling back into live in SaudiHello to everyone else I have not mentioned, hope all the Mums and babies are doing well. It is a truly miserable day here, pouring with rain so hiding in the house today Laura & Isls x

Julz, Toby is on roughly 30oz a day at the moment and weighs about 12 ish lb. My hv told me that they should roughly be having 2 and half time their weight.

I cant wait for Toby to go on solids, will be great fun!!!

Ash, bet you loved Aiden sleeping that much, its bliss eh

Hope everyone else is doing alright xx

Hi girls

Julz, amazing how fast Tyler is growing. Solid food will be a riot .

Laura, Logan has settled down with his hungry spell thanks. He actually slept for 7 hours last night, which is a first. Long may it continue! He seems to have kick started my milk again anyway and i am expressing enough for him to have 4oz of bottle in the evening and have frozen some too so am one step ahead of the next feeding marathon . The down side is I woke up this morning drownng in my own milk cos he had slept so long. Glad the expressing is easier when you are feeding.

Kirsty, Logan has taken to the dummy a bit better now he is having a bottle reguarly but i dont use it very often. An absoulute lifesaver when it works though! Glad Toby is growing well.

Ash, glad Aiden had a good night last night, must be something in the air. Fingers crossed for many more like it.

We are going to my parents this weekend and they are having an evening inviting all their friends around to see Logan and have a few drinks. I shall be sat with a G&T while everyone passes the baby round. Bliss!

Hope all mums and babies are well

take care

Vicky

Laura, I think I will be covering my floors and walls in plastic sheets when Tyler starts to feed lol

Ash, I'm getting increasingly jealous of all the sleep people are getting!!!!

Vicky, I remember that feeling when tyler slept for longer than the norm, or if my OH gave him a bottle or two, kindly, so I could sleep (without telling me!) lol. Have fun with the G+T, save me one please!!!!!!!

Well, we have decided to start trying to get Tyler in to a routine from a book by Rachel Waddilove. It's a 5 feeds a day one, which he has already, but atleast it'll be in some sort of pattern now!!! And we can hopefully get him sleeping longer at night. He IS capable of going 7 hours, he dug himself a hole demonstrating that one the other night. lol. And am getting a black out blind too.

How on earth is everyone managing to get their babies to sleep all night!!!??? EH??? Reveal all!!!!

Morning everyone

Ash - Glad Aiden is sleeping well. The weather is rotten just now but I like it like this as Isla was miserable in the heat.

Kirsty - thanks for the advice on amount of food to give as I have no idea how much to express.

Vicky - G&T sounds lovely. I am mising my wine, once the breastfeeding is finished I will be placing a wine order

Julz - I fully intend to invest in a splash mat for the weaning and I'm sure the dog will help me clean up any spilt / thrown food. I think Isla sleeps so long at night because she eats all day long and stockpiles for through the night Also think the blackout blind and dummy help loads.

Hello to everyone else I have not mentioned.

Well my day has started well.Have discovered this morning that my toilet is blocked (have been telling my husband for months to stop flushing cotton wool / wipes down loo) so now I have to wait on a plumber to come out and unblock loo.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Laura & Isla x

Hi girls

Laura, great thinking about the dog helping to clear up mess. Our two will be Logans best mate when he gets on to solid food . Men eh? They wont be told. Good luck getting the toilet unblocked. Having really missed alcohol through pregnancy I thought I woukd be desperate to start drinking once he was born but I am not really very keen. Too thirsty I think with all this breast feeding. Will enjoy sipping a G&T while someone else gives him a bottle though .

Julz, Logan has only managed 7 hours once too, he was back to feeding every 3 hours last night. Probablyy a good thing as I think him being asleep for 7 hours has given me mastitis . Feel real achey and have a very sore breast that I cant empty very well. As for the blackout blinds, we dont have one and so far not a problem but he is still only 4 weeks old. A banking on the nights drawing in and mornings being dark before he is too bothered . Good luck with the new routine!

Well I am off to put a heat pad on my sore breast and try and pack for the weekend. Hope the car turns out to be big enough for all our stuff!

Take care

Vicky and Logan

Hi Ladies,

Apologies for not posting for ages but there is never enough time to do anything not related to Kerensa these days!

She now weighs 7lb 15oz and was 5 weeks old yesterday - still suffering with colic but on Saturday we managed to attend a friend's wedding with no crying all day (a huge achievement for us).

I've not had a chance to read your recent posts so hope all is well with you all & babes.

Lots of love & sparkle,

Amanda & Kerensa xx

Hi all

Had Caelen weighed yesterday, she is now 9lb 2oz. She will be 7 weeks on sunday and has been sleeping through the night (6/7 hours) since she was 5 weeks but last night she went 10 hours! Got a really peaceful day today, my mum has taken oldest 3 for a picnic so it is just the 2 of us until her dad gets home.

How is everyone? Pearl has baby T got a name yet?

I have just been on the gone too soon website, there is some photos of beautiful baby Isabelle. It also lets you light a candle in her memory.

love

Paula & Caelen

Well.... you have brought tears to my eyes... in a good way that is! I just had a look at Isabelle's gonetoosoon site and saw the new candles that have been lit for her and your kind comments.

Thank you so much, it means so much to Gavin & I that you're thinking of us. I am so touched and now have tears in my eyes again as I write this.

Sorry I've not been on here for ages, I hope you understand. Love and hugs to all of you and your gorgeous little babies. Janice.xx

ps - I'm going to add more photos to gonetoosoon in the next few days, if you want to visit again you're more than welcome:

Janice, we all understand why you have not been on in a while. You definitely don't need to appologise. Everyone misses you though!! I had a look at the Gonetoosoon page and I didn't know what to write. I will be lighting a candle for Isabelle tonight when I am back online. I hope you and Gav are doing ok. Take care x x x

I officially have the biggest baby of the lot then. 16lbs something-or-other... I forgot lol. He's a big'n!

I'm really hoping Tyler learns to sleep better soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Getting... tired... Again!!

Hope everyone's ok x x x

Ugh, we figured Tyler has colic (Don't know if I've said that already). He is hard to settle, flings his arms and legs about, screams for a bit then stops and continues what he was doing, or falls asleep! He was crying for about 2hours lastnight, and woke at about 4:30thismorning and wouldn't settle. He's hard work! It started when he was about 1 month but got worse the day before his jabs at 8weeks. hopefully it'll be over soon as it's only meant to last until 3 or 4 months!!!!! Him being 11weeks now, shouldn't be long left of it!!!!

Ugh I'm tired... Julz x x x

Hi Julz,

I completely empathise as Kerensa developed colic at 12 days old (she's 39 days old today) - it is exhausting!  Yesterday she cried from 11am to 10pm on & off due to the trapped air in her body (which causes the colic).  She'd never been that bad before and I figured it was that she had a "blockage" in her system which proved to be the case when she finally let rip in her nappy before bedtime (bless her).  It is horrible seeing her in so much discomfort and very stressful knowing that babes don't usually grow out of it till they're about 3 months old - although I do know one baby who had it for a whole 12 months....

Happy Sunday all,

Amanda & Kerensa xx

Ugh I thought I was the only one! I'm knackered!! Tyler cries all... the... time! Though, we did have some success lastnight. Normally he stays up with us but naps while having a hug or on the sofa until his 10:30pm feed as he just cries constantly if we put him down. But we decided to try a less harsh version of controlled crying, at 7 we put him to bed but we only left him a few mins crying at a time before going in to settle him, and it only took 3 goes and he was asleep!! Then after that he must have realised as he fell asleep before we even left his room at 11pm lol. But, he still woke up at 5am(after having had a feed at 2)! I did leave him crying for a while at 5 in the hope that if i do it every morning he'll learn to stay asleep!! The morning time thing isn't colic, he's just always woken up at that time as it's when my OH used to get in from work and if he cried he would pick him up and hug him in bed!!!   It's his fault! lol. But if we can get him to sleep like that every night then I can cope with feeding him once during that time easy.

Next mission, get Tyler to stay in bed til 7am!!

Tyler is nearly 3months now so I'm hoping he is going to grow out of it soon.  Fingers crossed!

Hope everyone's ok. It's awfully quiet!! x x x

Was so stressed out thursday cos of colic it comes & goes with T (yep still no name will get to that drama later) but last weds nite was the wrost he would not settle & sleep at all & woke every hour only sleeping for 20 mins at a time not helpful when it started at 1am had hv next day she could tell i was stressed i think she regretted asking how i was as i almost broke down hv actually quite helpful on this occasion she said I should try COLIEF avail from most chemists tried to get doc to perscribe as cheaper that way as it can cost £10 but will last for ages apparently but doc not having any of it as its not actually for colic but it treats the smythoms it takes the pain away from the trapped wind same difference i think apparently visbile diff after one go.

Apart from that all is well T now weights 12lb @ 6 weeks makes the most incredilbe snorting noises & has started to smile & coo & its not wind lol he just s loves the camera & will drop everything just to smile even crying with colic.

Also managed to secure to places on modelling agencies books anyone with any exp of child modelling  good or bad please let me know as humin & ha inn whether to procced.

hard goin all this newborn business I have forgotten just how diffcult it is hence the 10yr gap between his brother & him , back to names his brothers Tris & Tyler want to call him Trey might give in as not enough hours in a day to think of names as well any suggestions welcome wish id struck to one name whilst preggers just think all the good T names Ive got help !!!!!!!!!!

Julz reading secrects of a baby whisperer by Trcay Hogg helpful tips in there but taking it like any other advice with a pinch of salt as all babies different.

Janice good to hear from you will be visiting site soon

Tyler cries for ages sometimes, or atleast he used to. It seems to be better than it was at about 5/6weeks. Ugh it's horrible eh!? I think to stop myself going insane I may have to make note of how many crying episodes he has a day and hopefully see it go down!

I just got some of that Colief stuff on Ebay for £7 inc postage! I just hope it helps, I've heard it's good before but just totally forgot about it!

I think Tyler was about 12lbs at 6weeks. He's 16 something now at 11weeks, sounds like baby T will be that size too! HV not concerned though as he's really long and slowly growing into some of his 6-9mth clothes for the feet size lol.

x x
Oh oh, we got Tyler to sleep at 7 again!!!! And we only had to settle him once!!!!!! Woohoo!! x
