Well, he's got a pal, Lily, who comes to swimming with us, but he seems a bit scared of her sometimes-he can be a bit of a wuss. She made a rrrrraaaarrrrrr noise once, and he started crying. Anotehr time she climbed on him, and he fell backward and bumped his head.
Just been to soft play centre. It was really lovely there. FREE for under ones! Woo hoo! I'm gonna go there every day until october 10th! Its £4 for over ones. Boo. DJ loved it. He went down the slide, played in the ball pit and played with a cog thing on the wall.
Well, DJ is in bed supposedly having a nap, but I can hear thumps and bumps up there, so i'm assuming he is playing with his toys instead.
I feel pooh. Got a nasty head cold. Gonna try and catch 40 winks.
Oh Em so Lily's after him, he better watch out. Your play centre sounds ace, Im sure Lili would love playing in all them balls, thinking of it im sure M'D's has one here Im gona have a look next time we go, te he. Poor Lili is in bed early tonight as he sicked up her dinner as she decided she didnt like the rice pudding i gave her so she made her self sick, funny girl, so she got told off and sent to bed early, nasty mom i am.
Hope you dont have a cold coming on Em, now you have 2 babies to take care of you need all the rest you can.
Em, look after yourself if you have a cold. Lots of honey and lemon.
Thanks for the suggestions for sandwich fillings, I bought some cheese spread today.
We went to Folly Farm yesterday, it is a petting farm/zoo, "Wales' Top Attraction". I haven't been there since John was about 5, so we waited until he was home from camp so he could come with us, but he announced that he was going to his Nan's for the day instead. Fine. All the cheaper for us.
Emily loved it there! She stroked the goats, saw sheep (this is Wales!), horses, pigs and more exotic things like camels, ostriches, skunks, fossas (Madagascan carnivore), lemurs, prairie dogs and meerkats. We got lucky with the weather and got some lovely photos. I'll post them when I can get my brain to work.
Em, Emily isn't happy until her cot is empty of toys and blankets and dummies. I have to go up, refill her cot, lie her down again before she will have her nap. She is a strange girl, she doesn't like anything in its proper place. She has to empty her toy box, the peg box, laundry basket, remove every piece of paper from the table, every page from a catalogue, scatter the pile of folded ironing, and wreck any stack of toys - stacking rings, cups, OMG, what does this mean in the future lol!
Kath I'm sorry to hear that Harvey isn't sleeping very well for you. How do you manage?
Em, DJ is gorgeous! Love the pics!
Dishwasher's finished, that is my cue to do the bottles, good night all
How is everyone doing? Having a nice 3 day weekend? Ah Steff your day sounds lovely! I love going to things like that! And Em I love soft play areas too! Lilly is always knackered when we have been to one! I haven't found any that are free for under 1s though! Hope your cold gets better soon!
Te he he Kirst your Lili makes me laugh! She is like my Lilly! If she doesn't like soemthing I am sure she makes herself sick! And yes Steff my Lilly also loves emptying everything out! Especially her toybox! How funny that they all do similar things!
I have had a great weekend! Got a cardigan and shoes for Lilly for her christening! I have a lovely dress (from Coast no less but to be fair it is also for a wedding) for the same event too! We have been to Oxford today to see my bro and been out for lunch in this cutsie Coltswold village! They had this old fashioned sweet shop so me and hubby went mad in there buying boiled sweets ha ha ha ha!!
Lou sounds like you had a great day out today, oh I love sweets I want some now.
My little girl is fast asleep in her bed now after a busy afternoon playing wit hone of her friends who ha sjust turned 1 year and is walking like a star, dont think my Lili likes sharing her toys too much, like her mommy.
Right im off to do the washing up and general homemaker things, great, umm not
Hi girls - it seems a while since i was last on - thank you all for your well wishers for Skye. She is back to her normal self now.
The last time i posted, the weekend came and she woke up on the saturday with rashes all over her body from head to toe. Panicked and phoned NHS Direct and I was told to take her in as although it doesnt sound like mennigitus, they would still like to check her out. Well, i was craping myself - kept thinking she had menigitus but luckily got to the hosp and it was basically the virus she had clearing up....the rashes only lasted for 2 days and then disappeared and she was back to her normal self.
Lilly and Daniel are so gorgeous!!!! They both have beautiful hair - still waiting for Skye's Lol!!!!
It sounds like some of our babies love their foods!!!! Steff, i know what you mean about avoiding certain food but smooth peanut butter is supposed to be fine so Skye's been having some of that. Marmite, cheese, avocados and she seems to love toasted egg. She snacks on fruit all day, i put them in her little 'snack trap'(they are so cool) and she gets it out herself - loves grapes and satsumas and apples but doesnt seem to be a big fan of pear...I have to take her clothes off when giving her strawberries as we've had way too much accidents lol
ok wait for it......woke up a week ago around 2am and heaved in the toilet....Mmmmmm, what could be wrong with me? That's what I thought and then i rushed to my diary to check the last day of my last period....end of june!!!!! Now I'm stressing myself thinking it couldnt be.....but then the signs were there!!! Been so tired lately, i just put it down to Skye not been well and lack of sleep. I was so convinced that we werent even going to start trying until Skye was 1 that it never even entered my mind that I could be... Anyway to cut it short, I am and I'm 9weeks!!! I cant believe its gone that quick!!!!I've had the odd puking up and feeling sick but no where as bad as it was with Skye. Just so tired at the moment - hence been sleeping at every opportunity that i get!!!! So Em, I guess i'm joining you and i didnt even know!!!!
So seeing as im so knackered....housework hasnt been done for a while...i dont suppose once you've finished cleaning your crib you'd come down to mine????????
Wow! Congrats Lois! I so want to join your gang too! I am so broody at the moment! But hubby says not until we buy a house! Hmph! Glad you haven't been as sick this time! You really suffered with Skye didn't you? Maybe its a boy?? So when are you due? God I bet you can't wait for your scan!
Having a hard time trying to find Oscar some pre-walkers. He's measuring 4 1/2 H (length really depends on which person measures him, but width is always the same!). Went to Clarkes at the weekend and they tried him in one pair of cruisers but said they didn't fit him properly, tried him in another pair 4 1/2G I think and said they would be perfect if they were an H so they were ordering them in for us. Got a phone call yesterday to say they can't get them in an H!
Don't really want to get him proper walking shoes yet because he's getting really confident on his feet and don't want to set him back by putting some clumpy things on his feet but want him to wear something when he's outside as he's desperate to walk around parks etc now! Most of the basic baby shoes say they're on suitable for indoor use, any suggestions??????
What about going to a different children's shoe shop and trying some start rite shoes? They are supposed to be really good for children too! I know Johnsons shoes sells all different kinds of shoes so maybe you could try there?
Thank you all so much....Haha, Steff you make me laugh!!!! Are you sure we cant tempt you????? Due 4 April but seeing as Skye was late, I'm adding 10 days to it so i'm saying i'm due 14th April...that way, hopefully i wont be playing the waiting game and getting really frustrated!!!! I suppose i better find the 'due april thread', although, i feel guilty joining them on my own.....Kirst, Lou and Rach, r u sure you dont want to join me there????
Rach, I agree with Lou...my friend tried her little girl on startrite and they look so comfy and nice. I wanna get some for Skye for her winter shoes...
Well Lois - I have joined the now growing gang! Not sure exactly when I am due as last period was end of June but I'm still bf so not sure how that might have affected it all. So I might be joining you in April!
On the shoe front I've ordered some off the internet and have paid extra to get them delivered today so I'll let you all know what they are like.
Laura sent me a message on Facebook yesterday, for some reason she can't get on to ThinkBaby.
