Hi, I found out I was expecting on the 7th Nov, so ive worked out I should be due around july 08. It will be my 1st. I was just wondering if any of you could give me some advice. I feel a bit daft asking but really dont have anyone else who I can discuss this with (husband lovely but hes a bloke at the end of the day!) Ive had a bleed today so went to the docs, she was lovely, but as I thought she said there was nothing she could do as im so early, shes estimated im 5+5. Im also getting a feeling on my right hand side, its been constant for about 4 days, not necessarily painful but still there. Sometimes makes my hip ache? Any advice would be great, ive noticed that a few of you are on baby no 2 so any past experiences would be really useful to hear about, Just dont know if what im feeling is ok/normal or something to worry about?? Kv x

Hi Everyone, this is brilliant to find somewhere to chat to other women in the same boat as me! I found out on Monday that I am pregnant, and according to my own calculations I am due about 17th July 2007. I went to the doctors yesterday and have to say, I was soooo dissapointed. The receptionist told me that I needed a 10 min appointment if I think I am pregnant with the doctor, so I thought I would get the pregnancy confirmed and lots of information. As it turns out, I was only in the doctors room for about 3 mins, she asked when my last period was and then just said I need to book in with a midwife!!! I am going to Mexico on Sunday and so I was asking if this was o.k and are there foods I should avoid etc and she just said "be sensible"!! What happened when you guys went to the doctors to confirm your pregnancy? I am sure I should have been given more information and guidance than I was? xx

Hello All!! Congrats to everyone!! I just found out I am pregnant!!! This is our first baby which was planned I think I am due around the 24th July 08. I have a wonderfully supportive partner - we recently got engaged but have not done the wedding thing yet! I don't want to tell anyone yet as I have a bleeding disorder which increases my risk of miscarriage - but I have to tell someone!! Hence the greatness of this site. I do have a Dr's appointment next week Wednesday and with a bit of luck he may offer some advice on what I can do. Hold thumbs and have fun!!

Hi everybody! Have been for my first scan today and am around 7 weeks pregnant, meaning I'm due around the first week of July. Been feeling horrendously sick for the past three-ish weeks, and various other symptoms. Got to see the little baby's heart beating today - lovely. just looks like a little blob rather than a baby but still brilliant getting to see it! Haven't told anyone else yet - OH still in shock I would say, but 12 week scan due on 21st December so will probably start telling people around Xmas time. How's everyone else feeling!? Rich T's are a godsend for the mornings when the sickness is overpowering!!

Hi Ladies, I was on the due October 07 thread and i had my beautiful little girl Lauren on the 10th October 07 - 6 weeks old on wednesday. I laso have a littl boy Joshua who is 20months old so my house is very busy. I just wanted to say congartualtions to you all - enjoy these next few months and have hubby or partners doing all the hard work . KV - i had a small bleed when i was pregnant with my little boy at around 5 weeks i also had the periody feeling and i had the pain this time but no bleed; it is normal to have some spotting at this stage. It is worrying and the dr's don't just give you any support at this stage but just try and relax and put your feet up. Everything turned out great for me and i know easier said than done just try not to worry to much and take it easy. XxX

Hi all, Firstly, congratulations to all of you lovely ladies who are expecting. I have just recently found out I am pregnant. Think i'm about five weeks along but got a routine appointment with my GP tomorrow. This is my first pregnancy so I am so so so so so scared. I'm only 21 but have been married for almost three years. I'm thrilled about the prospect of becoming a mum but very frightened. It wasn't a planned pregnancy but both myself and my husband are over the moon. I've done the 'calculations' and think I'm due around the 15th of July '08. It will be nice to share pregnancies with all of you. Joanne.x.

Hi sorry for butting in everyone. I was on the Due in April 08 forum however had a MC at 11 weeks so keep popping on to see how everyone is getting on. KV - Try not to worry hun, your doctor wont be able to tell anything as you are in the very early stages. Ring your Early Pregnancy Clinic at the hospital and they will be able to make you an appointment to have a scan. They will probably need to do the internal but it is nothing to worry about. they will be able to give you all the advice you need and hopefully be able to get a heartbeat to put your mind at rest. If they can't get a heartbeat it may be because it is so small that hey will make you another appointment for 10 days later as the sac will have grown. Hope this helps and I haven't scared you Congratulations everyone Take Care George x x x

Well then everyone, I went to my GP today and I am further along than i expected, i'm seven weeks gone and due on the 9th of July 2008!! My GP was not very helpful at all and as miscarriage runs through my family, i made a point of bringing this up. My mum lost twins before i was born and thereafter I was a twin; my twin having died. The GP seemed far more interested in the prospect of me having twins and commented 'ohhh that may be interesting'!! I mean surely he should be more bothered about the history of miscarriage. Arrrggghhhh!! Anyway, rant over. Hope you guys are all okay. Oh, there is a question I want to ask that you may be able to answer, the GP couldn't give me a definite yes or no to drinking Actimel. Does anyone know whether this is bad for baby? Any replies would be great. Mwah all!!!!! xxx

Morning all Congratulations to everyone! I have just had my pregnancy confirmed with the GP and he has booked me in with the midwife on Thursday. Due date is July 25th. I am very excited although abit scared as this is our 1st baby. I found out a week before my period was due, I took an early response that had a fairly strong line then a clearblue digital - as I was shock! My only concern at the minute is that apart from feeling really tired, I don't have any other pregnancy symptoms!?!? Is anyone else going through this at the minute? I am only 4.5 weeks so is it too early to have symptoms? Thanks!
