I am looking for advice from anyone using the Quinny Buzz - friends of mine say it is excellent but I think it seems expensive. It is essential that both my wife and I can use it and as I am 6ft2" and she is 5ft2" this may be a problem?

Any help would be gratefully received.

whilst ive never used a quinny a quick bit of reasearch on the net has come up with the fact that it has adjustable handles so you should be fine, but and its a big but try before you buy, its listed on the mothercare website so hopefully your local store will have them in stock for you to try, but there not the cheapest, so shop around the rrp is £299.99 in under 10 seconds i found it for £215 at click here

Never used the Qinny myself either dadmagic, but I have seen a lot of them, buzzes and zapps, around in my home city. There seems to be something about them that particularly appeals to men as far as I can work out.

It is definitely not cheap, but as Luke says, you can always find a bargain online. Trying it in comparison with other buggies for handling etc is a v. good idea.

I take it you've already see the review linked at the top of the page.

I bought the quinny buzz along with the car seat and pram body, it is excellent. The car seat slots straight on to the wheels which is very convenient for shopping. The buzz part is also very good as you can have it facing both ways. The handle is adjustable so it's great for people of all heights. It is very easy to control and manoeuvre and looks great. My best buy up to now.

Thanks Michelle, I didn't post the original query but it's one of the chairs I've begun to think about for May.

Do you just use it around town or do you ever take it onto rougher terrain? I know it's not an all-terrainer, I'm just wondering how robust it is and if it's possible to run with it on more or less even ground. Thanks again.

Hi,
I have used it on most terrains as I do alot of walking on both even ground and rough terrain and it as performed well. It's very sturdy and easy to control. The wheels can be removed by push button which makes it easy to clean.

Great, thanks a lot Michelle - this one is definitely on my list to test out now.

I had the buzz for 3 month but had no end of problems with the inner tubes.. ended up taking it back and swapping it for something else. This wasn't rough terrain just country lanes. It turned out to be a nightmare for me!! Good luck :o)

I've had my Buzz for a couple of months now, and my only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. The most important thing for me is that my son loves it, he is very comfortable and secure and the adjustable seat positions are perfect. I have a fiesta, but it still fits comfortably in the boot! I'm a huge quinny fan, we have a Zapp for traveling and this too is an absolute godsend - BA allowed us to take it on the plane as hand luggage which was invaluable at midnight at Gatwick!

I've just joined this site - was too looking for opinions on the Buzz, thanks all, looks like thats the one I'm getting!

i bought the zapp on monday so have only done about 10 miles with it but so far so good, i'm impressed with the size and build quality the only downsides are its probably a little too lightweight and theres no basket.

I got my quinny off a store that sells on ebay which was £70 cheaper than in the shops.I rang the number direct and he knocked another £10 off as it saved the ebay charges!I havent used it yet,am expecting my third in a week.If you are tall then there are adjustable handles and are great for short and tall people.I think that they are slightly expensive but they are so compact and you can actually uce the basic starter part of it from birth so no need to buy the dream cosy too!
The gas release is great for people in a hurry or bad backs!which i have!!They look good too,and in this trendy society it is a must!lol!!
You get the rain cover aswll as mosqito cover and a buzz box that will be good for extra nappies etc.
Im looking forward to using mine, cant wait!!

I have a Buzz and i don't like it at all. The back tires are very wide apart and they are always getting punctures, its difficult even getting into a taxi with it. Also when you alter the seat it has a tendancy to just slip right back, when i only want to ajust it one level. Also as a busy mum who doesn't drive it is very difficult getting on and off public transport with it. You also have to buy special clips for shopping bags to go on, the basket on it is tiny(which i bought seperate). They look good, but thats about it. I'm going for a mutsy as a replacement.

Just a note to anyone who has had tyre problems with the quinny buzz, you can buy the foam on ebay and other stores that pumps the tyre up permanently so you dont get punctures.I had this problem with my mothercare 3 wheeler with my last baby,so i have invested in some.I also had a graco pram a few years ago that had this problem!
Note to Katie,
i havent as yet used my new buzz as im not due until tuesday, but i think you are probably right about the wide wheels!! i have a tiny lane that i have to get through to drop my youngest off at school and have been wondering if it will fit!!

I've been trying to get hold of that gel/foam for the back tires. Do you know what size i should order if i get it? Hope everything goes well with the baby.

Hi Katie,
it was just one size canister that i saw on ebay and got it,i think if you look out you should see some.I havent used this lot yet as my pram is new,i know alot of pram stockists sell different types.Sorry for not being much help.

my baby girl arrived in july!!3 girls go!go!go! im not impressed with the buzz at all,the frame seems really weak. When i park up on the hill where one of my daughters school is the break seems to unlock itself and i feel nervous about it.It creaks and all the black on the frame is sctatched, almost like its not durable.I dont think id recommend to anyone. It looks the part but thats about it!!
