I said throughout my pregnancy, never again... I really didn't like being pregnant, and I'd always thought that I'd rather have one so that they would never have to go without, but OH has always been keen to have more (yeah, he doesn't do the hard work!! ) And now I'm of the opinion that if there is to be any more I'd like them all now because once Georgia is older I'm definately not going back, lol.

So with that in mind we're not using contraception so what will be will be ....

Hi everyone

Natlie is finally sleeping so getting a chance to come on and chat. Think she has had colic as she has been really unsettled and her tummy feels really hard. Started giving her infacol a few days ago and think it is starting to work as she seems to be a  bit more settled now.

Kate - Natalie had the same problem with constipation. I read somewhere that as well as the cooled wated you should try rubbing the tummy in a clockwise direction and moving the legs in a cyclig motion.

Rhona - good luck. I don't intend on having another one for at least 2 years. I think the C-Section and how long it is taking to recover is putting me off a bit.

Hope everyone is well.

Hi All,

For colic and constipation has any one tried baby massage, I did it with Angus and am trying to start it as part of the bedtime routine for Lewis, I self taught myself from a book but you can attend classes or info online. I can really reccomend it and it is a lovely bonding time with your baby before bed. I have not been troubled with colic for Angus and Fingers crossed Lewis is ok too.

I am not convinced that I have finished at number two but I am 37 years old and should be content with two happy and healthy boys, think my hubby will put his foot down if I suggest any more children just now, and the memory of Lewis's birth is still all too clear, I do not remember anything of Angus's birth which is probably why I was able to contemplate number two five months after Angus was born.

Getting ready for an early night after a morning of housework and an afternoon at soft play and I have committee meeting for our local toddlers group at half 9 tomorrow morning, that should be fun getting the three of us out by then

Take care all mums and babies.

Rhona looks like a new race is on then if your not using contraception either lol, im sure you will win me tho, took us ova 4 year to concieve mason, but like the saying goes... the best things come to those who wait!!!

my 1st nite out on saturday and i cannot wait, i have new clothes, new hair cut/colour and fake tan hehe, even tho im really lookig forward to it im also sooo nervous, i keep asking gareth if he'ssure he'l cope haha think im starting to piss him off now  but hey, its a mum thing

Took mason to get weighed yesterday and he weighed 10lb 2, so god knows how i got him to 10lb4 2 week ago lol!!! oh well at least it means i also weigh less than i thought 2, so tahts good!!!

did anyone watch that breast feeding programme? Eurgh!!! i personally thought it was gross

love to all mums and babies

sommer and constantly smiling baby mason xx

Hiya,

I'll join that race too! I've told bf that I'm not going back on the pill so if he doesn't want another one contraception is his problem. He ain't been using any so I guess we're on course for no.2. LOL.

I watched that programme, "Other people's breast milk". Was weird, I'm planning on stopping breast feeding as soon as Kamran either gets teeth or is 6 months old, whichever comes first. That's not to say I won't express for him, but i'm not having him biting or lifting my top for boob! Can't believe that people were still feeding their kids at 5 or 6 years old!

Anyway hope everyone is ok,
x

no i cant Nikki either, me and a friend were talking about it yest while she was cuddleing mason, and she said jokingly what would you do if you came down stairs and i had my boob in masons mouth!!! i said i'd bloody knock you out haha, and what about the woman who'd never had kids and still put her friends baby to her boob for comfort when she wasnt producing milk, and said... its sexual!!!  the weirdo!!

cant believe mason is 6week old tommorow  time is flying by, am i the only one who doesnt want there baby to get older lol, alot of people think newborns are boring and prefer babies when there sitting up and giggling etc but i just love tiny babys.

Hiya,

Sommer - yes it was a bit wrong that woman saying she felt sexual. So so wrong!

I'm waiting for Kamran to get to the point where he sleeps longer and smiles and coos and then that'll be the age I want him to stay. I'm a bit gutted that he hasn't started smiling yet. He can hold his head upright properly tho...suppose he's only 5 1/2 weeks old tho.

Kate - I don't blame you being angry. I probably would have told her to back off when she went to pick him up. I think I may be over protective but some people (meaning my bf) come round and wake babies up and then hand them back screaming. Funny thing is whenever Kamran starts whinging bf always says "I think he's hungry". No he's bloody well not hungry, he ate 15 mins ago! So I tell him now to sod off n leave him alone! Sorry mini rant there. LOL.

I don't think I'll be able to get pregnant again anytime soon anyway. The breast feeding is supposed to reduce the chances of conceiving until baby starts weaning. Shame really. I do miss being pregnant.

Hi everyone,

Hanna is now 15 days old and she is absolutely gorgeous, find myself keep looking at her thinking how I miss that kicking feeling inside me and the excitement of not knowing whether she was a boy/girl.

Abbi - Hanna went onto SMA White at 8 days old as I just couldn't fill her with my breast milk and the SMA Gold. She seems more settled on the white and goes longer at night although she fights to go to sleep during the day! I'm still breast feeding her though as I really like the closeness. She is beginning to enjoy her evening bath, seems to settle her down ready for the feed then she sleeps for 4 and half hours.

Found it really hard the 1st day Scott went back to work, cried a few times through day when she wouldn't settle, the moment he came home she went straight to sleep when he had hold of her, couldn't believe it!!! Having said that she fed this morning and has been asleep since 10am so she is due for a feed soon, best go and hang washing out before she wakes up!

Will try and log on soon, but like everyone else theres someone else to think about now and she takes priority, I'm so happy shes now here!!!
