Hi there Just to let you know I have put some photos of Jai on my FB page. Daddy has taken him out for a couple of hours so that I can have a sleep, but this is more fun!! Midwife was here this morning and weighed Jai - he is back up to 9 pounds one and a half ounces - his exact birth weight!! That means that the breastfeeding must be working thank goodness! Can't believe he will be two weeks old tomorros - where has that two weeks gone! Abbi, glad you're feeling better today hun. I had a not too bad night. Jai was up for two night feeds - one at 1am but he settled straight down afterwards, and then one at 5am which then took him to nearly 7am to settle. For those of you still waiting for your babies, can I recommend eye drops for the hospital and the few days after the birth! My hubby brought some to the hospital (more for him than me I think) but they really made a difference to tired, gritty eyes She & Jai xxx

Hi evryone Sorry I haven't posted in a few days but Natalie has been in hospital again. The doctor was concerned about her heart rate so they have been monitoring it for the past couple of days, They are now happy she is ok. Anyway better go as I think she needs feeding. Hope to hear from Kate soon x

hi all, well things have been very up and down for the past few days and haven't even had chance to get near the computer. I have been really stuggling with thw breastfeeding and we had 3 nights in a row where Riley wouldn't settle at all and i got so stressed out and upset that i came to the decision that brestfeeding just isn't working for us so have decided to give up and turn to bottles. I was having problems getting him comfy and he was struggling to latch on so kept coming off and getting more and more frustrated which just made things worse. I had a couple of days of non-stop tears feeling like i had failed a bit in not being able to keep him happy but think i have got over that now. We have moved onto giving him Nurture baby milk (was Farleys) as know a few people who use it and recommended it and things seem to be working out a bit better now. The only thing i have to overcome now is the sore boobs til my milk stops - am expressing a little to relieve the soreness but don't want to do too much as it will keep the production going so think i may have to suffer a little for acouple of days! We had our first HV visit today and have to go to clinic in 2 weeks to get Riley weighed and measured, she didn't weigh him today as the midwife did it on tuesday and she said it was too soon. After dropping to 7lb4 last week, he was 7lb5 on friday and then at the last visit on tuesday he had shot up to 7lb10!! So well on the way back to his birth weight of 7lb12. The midwife is coming again on monday to give him and me a good check over and i think she is going to sign me off after that. Finally got our appointment to register our little man tomorrow!! i rang the registry office last wednesday and tomorrow afternoon was the earliest we could get in! Congratulations to all new mums and babies, will get back on when i can Clare + Riley x

hi all, its been ages ages since i've had the time to get on here!! have read back a few pages to try and catch up but theres just soooo much i've got confused with most of it already-keep mixing up what has happened to who lol. I will say a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who's had their little bundles of joy so far and loads of luck to those of you who are still waiting! can you believe my little Benjamin is now 6wks old??! i can't believe where the time has gone but it also feels like he's always been here.......can hardly remember being pregnant it seems so long ago! he's really alert now and his personality is really starting to show.....i just love him to bits for those of you who had a c-section, how are you feeling now? i'm still in a bit of pain, mostly centred around my lower abdomen and lower back, almost like a belt of pain-my scar area is fine though. the pain is worse when i first stand up after sitting for long spells and still can only walk about for short periods before the discomfort increases. Its been 6 wks so i was hoping that by now i'd have got over it but its still niggling away at me.........anyone else having issues after a section?? xx

Congratulations Kate and Welcome to JJ, he really wanted to be an August baby after all Also congratulations to all the other new mummies and babies. Lewis is 15 days old now and like everyone I cannot believe where the time has gone, fingers crossed he has sorted out his nights and days now and has settled in his cot after bath, massage and boob for the last 2 nights, waking twice during the night for a feed, I have got to grips with the feeding while lying down which suits us both and we have dropped the matress of the cot down to be level with me so it seems like he is sleeping next to his mummy. He is now a very hungry little boy and hubby did comment the other day that every time he looks at me I always seem to be feeding him!! But I did give him a bottle this afternoon as I was reaching the end of my tether with the constant feeding and as my 17 month old toddler has caught chicken pox it is getting more and more difficult to feed all the time, thinking that I will end up moving to formula but will keep breastfeeding as long as I can. Sorry for moan, my baby blues kicked in yesterday and had a very tearful day, even had a few just now when I got Kates news! hoping that they will pass soon. On the plus side hubby turned up with my baby bling, he had taken my engagement ring and had the small diamonds replaced with 2 big ones for my two boys, what a star Take care all and will catch up soon. Cathy, Angus and Lewis

Was just on FB and Cathy Chalk (assuming that is Cathy C on our list) had her little girl on 25th (due 28th)
Cathy H - your baby bling sounds fab! I got a beautiful diamond eternity ring in hospital, but my left hand and fingers are still a bit swollen from the drip etc, so I can't wear it or my engagement ring yet Congratulations Kate - think we were all hoping for JJ to be an August bambino
Just been looking at the August list - how come I'm the only mummy to have a little piglet over 9 lbs??? We're taking Jai shopping into town tomorrow - so hoping to get into some pre-maternity clothes and try and look like a yummy mummy for him!! Stupid wound is still sore though so I can't wear anything that rubs against it She & Jai xxx
