hi All

Welcome Cheryl!

The latests sympton for me is , itchy flaking nipples!!!!!!!!!! Did a quick google, app its very common and you should put vasaline or lanolin on them! They are so itchy, driving me mad!

Morning everyone - glad to see you are all floating around somewhere & apart from itchy flaking nipples & sickness you are all well

Nicole, its so cool feeling baby properly move! I was laying in bed on saturday & felt a kick on my left side, I held my hand there & pushed inwards a little bit & the little bugger booted my hand! Dont worry, I had words with him/her & we've now come to an agreement - providing I dont poke, he/she wont kick me like a football - ha, wonder how long that lasts!

Sarah - we've missed you! Hope you get your power cable sorted soon! Wendy, hope your nipples stop itching soon enough, I get really itchy legs when pregnant - dont know why?????! lol

hello everyone,

well blob is definately moving now, i cant doubt it anymore! it feels like im being tickled from the inside! every now and then especially if i sneeze i get a bigger kick! blob seems to like playing computer games, it was going crazy during guitar hero yesterday. if i poke blob it doesnt move where im poking it moves on the opposite side of my belly!

only 4 weeks till my scan! i just wish the weeks would go quicker. im a bit nervous about it though because i dont want to be disappointed if i cant find out the sex but i know i will be and think it will put a dampner on the other feelings i should be having.  if i dont find out in 4 weeks i have to wait another 8 weeks on top of that for my 4d scan!

i have a midwife appointment on wednesday so should get to hear the heartbeat, what else do they do at the 16ish week check?

Lauren (16+5)

Morning Lauren,

How's things with hubby? All going okay now I hope!

My scan is in 3 weeks or only 20 more sleeps as Sarah (SLD) would say! I cant wait!!!

Other than test your urine & blood pressure they dont do much else at the 16 wk check - you should definitely get to hear the heartbeat! Its great! x

things are alright, could be a whole lot better but plodding along.

he ordered me some bump bands and two tops on saturday and they came today. i have lots of growing room for my bump band, but it means i can still wear my ti shirts without my belly hanging out the bottom, i hate seeing bumps on display in the street.  Darren thinks bump bands are to keep the baby warm

he did make the baby very angry last night by putting a cold bottle of beer on my tummy, we were at a friends house so it was me and 3 sailors, they all thought it was hilarious! poor bubba.  it was a wierd experience being stone cold sober with drunk people, one of them really really annoyed me. i think being in a pub sober is a different experience because people arent constantly in your face, i just wanted to slap this bloke.  everyone was making jokes that he was making a pregnant lady angry and the only thing worse than a woman scorned is a pregnant woman scorned!

Show/hide user stats

Well he sounds like he's trying - in his own little way! Bless him, hopefully things will all work out the way you want them too!

Ive done 2 pregnancies with a boyfriend that used to drink like a fish & it can be extremely annoying being sober & putting up with stupid jibes! Me personally, I probably would have slapped the bloke annoying me then blamed it on my hormones! Ooops, sorry about that!!!!!  Men can be such idiots when they've had too much to drink!  This is also the 2nd pregnancy where by I'll be pregnant on my birthday, through xmas & new year but it doesnt bother me that much! Im not completely t-total, I'll have to odd glass of wine here & there! A little doesnt hurt! x

Show/hide user stats

im not a big drinker anyway so not to bothered about not drinking. im more of a drink if i want to be drunk but cant do moderation type of girl

i'll be pregnant over my birthday as well as xmas & new year the only thing im worried about is not feeling very well and not being able to enjoy it.  also im planning on walking for ages before xmas lunch so that blob goes to sleep and doesnt wiggle around while im trying to eat, i dont want to miss out on all the yummy food because blob is playing with my stomach!

has anyone gone off food? i cant eat things that have made me sick if i attempt to they just make me more sick.  so far Frazzles, pepperami's, chocolate cake and chicken are on my list!  im hoping i can get away with chicken when its in a curry or something but we will have to test it.

I wouldnt say I was a big drinker, but I can certainly drink when I want to! I would very often buy a bottle of rose on the way home from work on a friday, some weeks Id demolish it before 9pm - other times Id have 1 glass then not want anymore! We had Charlie christened in April this year & I hadnt really had a good drink for a while, we arrived at the pub at 1pm by 5pm I didnt know my name & could barely stand! I was a complete train wreck but I had a great time in getting that way - just didnt feel too human the next day! Never mind! My favourite drink before getting pregnant was either rose wine (such a summer drink) or vodka, lemonade & lime - my problem was I could never taste the vodka so the drink would be gone before I knew it!!!! oops!

I dont think anything could put me off my xmas dinner, I love it! Cant wait! We're at my parents house for xmas dinner - we were there last year too so by right it was their turn to come to us but I refused to have them being so heavily pregnant! I had my parents & James' family for dinner when I was pregnant with Charlie & although I was only around 20 wks at the time I was exhausted by the time they left, I was fast asleep by 6pm!!! Totally wiped out!

Ive gone off food, from the minute I found out I was pregnant I couldnt stand the taste of spag bol (but loved it up until then) Ive since gone off chilli as well, but strangely enough I can still eat lasagne & taco's - Im just a weirdo! I dont think there's anything else Ive gone off! Id be gutted if I couldnt eat chocolate cake, James mum makes all our birthday cakes & christmas cakes - they are wicked! Ive got a real thing for wotzits at the moment - if i eat anymore Im gonna give birth to an orange child!!!! x

Strange u say that about chilli im the same, even the smell of it makes me puke even tho everything else does too but chilli is a BIG NO in my house at the moment hehe

hiya btw - 3 WEEKS TO GO TILL SCAN DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I should be grateful really, I talk to some of the girls in the due Feb thread (some of which are further gone than me & Im 18+5) and they havent had their 16wk midwife appt yet or even got a date for their 20wk scan! Im just so bloody impatient thats my problem!!! You watch, it'll be just my luck that when I do get in there my baby wants to keep its legs crossed so they wont even be able to tell us the sex! Typical x x

Can I ask a rather personal question???? How much weight have you all put on? I dont know how much weight Ive put on in lbs & ozs but I have put on some obviously! The reason I ask this is because lets face facts, I wasnt exactly a size 8 before falling pregnant, I was much heavier than I wanted to be in fact but thats life! Now when I look in the mirror everything looks in porportion, my tummy is getting rounder & I actually look pregnant but I thought I looked fairly well with it! However today Ive recieved a picture taken of me with one of my delegates on that course I arranged last week & I look seriously fat in the face.  My face is just round & I dont look healthy or a bit chubby, I seriously look overweight & ugly! I would never say Im stunning looking but on a scale of 1-10 Id at least be a 5 or 6 - in this picture I was seriously a 1 or 2. I just look like a complete heffa! How can I lose weight in my face? I can honestly say other than a packet of crisps a day, the odd mcdonalds and a few squares of chocolate in the evening or a couple of biscuits (all treats) I dont eat badly & I havent really been eating more than I would normally.  If anything Ive eaten less during this pregnancy due to the horrible nausea feeling I had in the beginning!

Is there a way to lose weight in your face alone? What shall I do? A rather fat, ugly & depressed Marie x

AWW hunnie it probs was just a badley taken picture xxxx, im not sure i have gained any weight as at my first appointment with the midwife she weighted me and id lost weight i was 63kgs and i have contiuned to be sick until the last few weeks only with the help of anti sickness pills - so i have no idea how much i weight at the moment- but one thing is for sure i have a baby belly there is no hiding that!!!!! dont think i have gained anything any where else
Show/hide user stats

Nic - you're right it was a badly taken picture ... because Im in it!!!! LOL

Honestly though, when i look in the mirror it isnt that bad! Im far from vain but I always make an effort - okay I have the odd day when I'll pop to the shop in my pj's, but most days I wont leave the house without make-up on (maybe I am vain). I was doing weight watchers before I fell pregnant but knew I wanted to have another baby so it was always half hearted if you know what I mean! I think I just need to eat as healthily as possible as if I were following weight watchers, you by no means act like your on a diet, you just eat smaller portions of better food! I cant keep putting on weight! x x x

Thanks for being so nice to me x x

i scoff my face with everything bad lol coz thats all i seem to be able to keep down and to be honest i dont care if i put on weight ill soon loose it again i have done it before lol, i use to weight 12 1/2 stone (DEPO INJECTION BIG BIG NO NO) but mangaed to get down to 9st 9

just enjoy been pregnant xxxxxxxxxx

Show/hide user stats

Nic - you're such a sweet heart - thanks! I suppose Im just being hormonal & over the top as usual - after all the weight gain is all worth it isnt it? I suppose what makes it harder is my friend is nearly 30wks pregnant & I swear to god Im bigger than she is! Okay I was bigger than she was before we got pregnant but ... oh I know what Im trying to say! LOL

I too was on the Depo injection & think it has a huge amount to do with how much weight I put on! After Charlie I didnt want to go back on the pill cos that too can make you put on weight! I wanted to have the implant but was really disappointed to hear your periods are really irratic - by my own admitance Im a bit of a control freak & I need to know when my period is arriving & departing! The other option was a coil but I really didnt like the idea of that!

If you dont mind me asking, how did you lose your weight? I used to do weight watchers but i was never 100% commited! I will be after this baby though! x x x

Morning everyone else - hope everyone is well & happy today!? x x
