hi all. just thought i would start this thread for all those who have been on ttc and finally got there bfp. there seems to have been a lot of us over the past few months and i thought it would be useful to carry on chatting without keep going on in front of those who might find our news difficult or upsetting we can moan and groan and chat about things that may be worrying us without sounding too obsesed!!! hope you will all join me xxx p.s - dont think this means you can all leave ttc. we need to keep up to date with the gossip. and i hope they can start to join us here soon tooo!!!

natty i spoke to the doctor with regards to TTC after m/c and he sed and i quote "there is no medical reason why u cant start trying as soon as the bleeding has stopped, the only reason we say to wait is so we can work out the correct due date" so we carried on TTC we will never foget that baby but we felt that TTC straight away was the best thing for us to do, so i have had an "af" as such since the m/c on the 27th May, and we are over the mooooon , i have done so many test hehe, and the hosptial too confirmed it, i will be having an earlier scan too in a couple of weeks, got my first midwife appointment on the 29th of this month which i sud be round about 8-9 weeks im glad all is well with u and bump xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I am 8+3...still early days...but it feels like I've been pregnant for ages! My midwife has given me the 27th as my due date but I am 100 percent convinced my due date is 25 Feb. I have an early scan booked for next Friday - because I am too bloody impatient to wait until 19 August for the standard one! If it's born on 25th it's my 14-year-old cousin's birthday, if it's born on 27th it's your birthday Nat, and if it's late and born on 6th March it's my sister's birthday! So all good I have no sickness and really no symptoms at all. How about you guys? Nat you're ahead of us all so you can give us all your new-found knowlege! What have you learnt already? Are you due your second scan soon?

I feel sorry for you, but I guess you are pleased Hopefully it will ease off in a few weeks - and then you will just have to contend with all the other problems - piles, varicose veins, stress incontenence... Sounds good huh? I can't wait

ha ha. you only got your family and friends birthdays to worry about. i have the most important one to saty clear of...................JESUS!!! ha ha. it will be just my luck to give birth on christmas day. hopefully santa will bring me extra special presents tho. glad to hear you are all ok.....ish. i was very lucky not to have sickness with either of my pregnancies (well this one is still early days but would be unlucky to have late morning sickness really!) i am feeling pretty good at the moment and no major complaints (apart from sore back and pelvis but thats only gonna get worse so will hold off the complaining just yet!!) i gotta say the past month has flown. seems like ages ago i had my 12 wk scan. i does really drag until then but then aftere the scan it flys by. went on to see everyone on the due feb and march threads. did i see natalie g is expecting too? my god. thats another ttc lady isn't it. thats 5 in 6 weeks!!! there must be something in the water. what about some of the oldies i havn't seen yet. es? linzi? lil one? karen? where are they all at the mo? i assume they are all ttc? oh and before i forget lou. how did oh take the news? has it got round to the idea of a sprog? hope so. xxx

lol at something in the water.... sperm. Lol xx
Lol Sarah! I don't think swallowing sperm gets you pregnant. That's where we've been going wrong all this time Nat, DH took it remarkably well. Very laid back. Said he figured it would happen soon or later - especially with me harping on about babies so much. We're still working out how we're going to juggle the bills when I'm on maternity leave. I can't believe how little us ladies get on SMP. Fortunately hubby can just about afford bills and mortgage on his own. That means I am responsible for food, nappies and other bits and bobs on my £117 a week. Not looking forward to being poor! I've just read a post on the due Aug thread that annoyed me. This poor woman went for an ante-natal appointment and had to wait an hour. Then the dr only spent 30 secs on the scan and didn't answer any of her concerns. She's measuring big for her dates and the dr didn't bother measuring her uterus to check. THEN! Dr showed her the door and when she checked her notes discovered that the dr had recorded that she'd measured her uterus (36 weeks) and said she'd taken her blood pressure - when she hadn't!!! Fortunately she complained and got another appointment where measurements showed her at 39 weeks. How shoddy is our NHS?!?! GRRRR
That's disgusting! My OH is coming with me to ALL appointments to avoid things like that! xx
my god. some drs really do not care about us women! it is always worth having a support at appointments so you can get backup if things seem to be going a little pete tong! unfortunatly hubby is having probs getting time off this time so i am attending on my own which is sad. i have one in the morning and will hear the heart beat which is fab but bit sad he wont hear her. but hes hopeing to get the next scan free. glad hubby took the news well. i knew he would come round! xxx
