Hi Sarah, to be honest I am in the same position. I've been recomended the same as you and I like them both a lot. The problem is than I can't find enough information on the internet about Chicco and now I am planing to visit on of the few shop selling Chicco. I may be disapointed but I want to see it first before going to buy. As I know Chicco are also good.

I hope I can help you out here.
I have had 2 babies, and went the way of the travel system for the first one. It was huge and filled the boot. So I bought a smaller stroller for when the little one was a bit older and didnt need his baby car seat any more. I wish I had gone for this a lot sooner!!
There are a couple of stroller travel systems around that are excellent, the best being the Graco Mosaic which comes in loads of different styles which means you dont get stuck with blue or black! Also there is a Cosatto Lunar or Solaris ( depending on your budget) all of which can be found in Argos.
With this you can order them from argos, have them to try out and they have a money back guarantee so you can send them back if you do not get on with them!
If I was to have another baby, I would go for this absolutely!!

Good luck and I hope you find something perfect.

we''ve just ordered the neonato travel system its pricey at £600 but comes with a car seat, and carry cot that gives you a pram and a carry cot which allows the baby to lie flat in the car up to 9 months. The buggy bit also can be facing you or away from you. its 3 wheeler, comes with all accessories and if you get it from Jan Stewart in East kildbride then you get a 3 year warrenty. it was more than we wanted to spend but we are happy with our desision.

hope this helps

I have purhcased the Quinny buzz travel system which comes with carry cot buggy and car seat as well as lots of extras i bought it from ebay but glasgow pram centre are doing it for the same price with free delivery. Babies not here yet but i have had great fun playing around with it. It is very light and easy to handle changing from carry cot to buggy or car seat could not be easier and it manouvers easily for tackling the shops!!! As i said i haven't tried it with a real live baby but in my spare room it seems like a practical easy to use and light travel system. It also has a gas power system so putting it down or up is effortless.

still not bought my pushchair! What about you Daniella? Am looking mainly at the mamas and papas pramette, but we would like a three-wheeler. Does anyone know anything about the Bebecar Racer AT? It looks good, but i've only seen a woman pushing it whilst we were out shopping and the pictures of it on the internet.

Hello Sarah, we just bought Chicco CT0.1 trio travel system from Kiddicare for £235. It is half price right (normally £470) now and I found it really nice. It has a carry cot and car seat with base too, and is many-coloured and jolly. It comes also with rain cover. I believe when the baby comes I wile enjoy it fully. My husband spend 2 hours trying to put all pieces together but finally he get the better of it. As for Bebecar as I know they are good but quite heavy. Now I am in search for no touch thermometer and baby bath with adjustable arms that could fit over the normal bath or used separately by itself.

just remember to let you know Sarah that Chicco CTO.1 is actually the same as Mamas and Papas Pliko Pramette but everithing comes together for a very good price as for Pliko you have to buy additionally car seat and there is no carry cot opion at all and they are very very dark which I didn't like from the very beggining.

Daniella I have just bought a no touch thermometer from TK Maxx for £19.99 and it's very good. Might be worth looking in there just in case, I know they eem to sell random items, but if they dont have it they may be able to get one from another store. good luck

Thank you Emma, I will check TKMaxx for sure. As for how I've choosen the Chicco Sarah, I saw the three systems in a shop in Romford /Pliko, Silver cross and Chicco/ and I did a lot of research as well. As I said Chicco is the same as Pliko Pramette but I think it is more fresh as for the colour and it has car seat and carry cot too. Chicco is also of high quality. I was in your position too, considering exactly these three pushchairs but I made up my mind and it is already at home. Good luck.

Thanks for your help Daniella. I'll definately have a look at the Chicco aswell - it sounds good, especially the price on Kiddicare!

if you are thinking about the change in weather and the fact you want your baby facing you why do you look at the Silver Cross 3D travel System it cost around 380 with everything, i was in a dilema for ages i was going to go with the hauck infinity but then decided against it and chose the silver cross, the have it a toys r us so you can have a wheel around . its light and easy to fold down, i like the fact that it has a soft carrycot which you can just slip inside - its quite padded aswell so it will stop the cold, my baby is due in december and most of the other travel systems just didn't look cosy enough also the britax and graco travel systems get quite rattley after about 4-5 months.

Hi all,

Just thought I'd let you know we eventually went for the Bebecar Racer AT (a three-wheeler). To be totally honest I do have concerns that it will be too heavy and that it will be bulky to get around the shops, but it looks great, my partner finds it really easy to push and i'm sure i'll get the hang of it with some practice. Plus it will be great for the walks we go on and it's not like i'm a shopaholic - the main place i go is the supermarket and they have huge aisles anyway.
Anyway, less than 5 weeks to my due date now so I'll let you all know how I get on when the baby's here!
Also bought the maxi-cosi car seat with easy base and tomy advance premier baby monitor.

I bought the Bebe Confort LOOLA travel system, was a bit unsure at first as there was so much choice and the birth date was looming.... but now that the baby is here and 4 weeks old, I think it's great! The car seat is fab and you can also buy the base from Toys R Us for £45 which means you don't have to mess around with the seatbelt fastenings etc, it's kind of like an Isofix base (but it's not...) The pushchair is great, you can attach the car seat to it till baby is about 9 months and then after that you use the other seat which can be either forward or rear-facing... the whole set also comes with a rain cover and sunshade, i think we paid £250 at Mothercare for the whole lot... we have it in black and it looks fab, I think you can also buy it in red and grey.... it folds really flat as well, perfect for the boot, I have an Astra and I need to fit the pram AND a large dog in the boot and they both fit in there fine.... It has 4 wheels (I originally wanted a 3-wheeler) but it is so versatile and the tyres are brill for going onto dirt roads and grass fields etc... really have no complaints about this travel system at all!
Good luck!!

I want to buy tge silver cross 3D in Pistachio. Had a play with it in Mothercare but they only do it in black. Seems to be out of stock everywhere on the internet. Anyone seen it in a shop in the Southend/ Basildon/ Lakeside/ Bluewater area?

Hi Daniella,

My wife is due on the 9th Oct, so first off congratulations. We scoured higha nd low for a buggy/travel system and I can highly recommend the Icandy cherry, which Think baby have just reviewed. You won't see many of them about and they are not too expensive. I have tried one out and it is just as easy as the reviewer said. Plus my wife is quite small and not particularly strong and it was by far her favourite of all the ones we tried.

I would recommend looking at an ebay retailer called Babypages as they are the only place I found who discounted off the RRP of £299 (with the carrycot). Speak to Lorraine, she was really helpful about delivery etc. Also you can use the maxicosi cabriofix with this and it is light as a feather and really easy to clip on.

Happy shopping and good luck
Matt

Hi i got the mamas and papas pushchair but with the mypod carrycot, its smaller than normal carrycots but it attaches to the pushchair, so your baby can lie flat and face you as a small baby but then go into the pushchair after, the pushchair is really light weight and is well padded so the baby is always comfy, the liner from the mypod also goes onto the pushchair for a luxury footmuff it is really lovely, you can also get the matching car chair aswell to also use as a travel system, mamas and papas have  discount warehouses scattered all over and i got mine there its so much cheaper than the shop.

hello everyone,

thought id add a little to what ive been reading.now my confusion starts here...wow babies have so much variety making it very difficult for us to choose whats best.

im confused what to buy for my baby due in jan 08.I looked at mamas and papas their prams and pushchairs.their new range herbie is to die for and it is rather steep at £480 but includes a detachable carrycot, car seat which is attacheable to the frame, the foot matt ,a change bag, parasol and push chair.

and then i saw silver cross which is good as well though i didnt like the bugaboo from mother care.can anyone advice whats good pls?i did have a look at the pilko range at m & p's but in comparison to the herbie it fell flat.

1.can a baby sleep with the correct matt and blanket in a detachable carrycot?

2.how useful is a detachable carry cot?

3.how useful are cot beds?

4.upto what age can i use a carry cot for a baby?5mths?

5.how are the push chairs of m and p?

as you can see..i am confused and anxious to have this project baby items underway

any help would be lovely,

thanx

shibani
