I am due on the 11th of oct I have my 1st scan on the 2nd of april 2 days b4 my 22nd! I should be aroung 13wek +1 then...I have just turned 12weeks its really nice to finally get out of the 1st stage.

I to had 2 early scans thinking was an eptopic, my 1st was around 6 weeks and could only see the sac...my 2nd was 8weeks and we saw a little bean taking shape and a heart beat!! All ok now but still really worried, I will prob settle down when I have my proper scan!

I get really emotional at the min cry at everything even adverts ! Its nice to talk to some1 my own age as my friends are all off doing there own things and dont really have much contact with anyof them especially my best friend, she seems to of dissapeared.

Sorry to waffle on but hope we can stay in contact about bumps etc!

hi im 20 years old and 28+2 weeks pregnant with my 1st child a little girl due the 16th june and am goin 2 b a single mum.

emma- i had to have 2 early scans aswell cuz they thought i was eptopic i had one at around 6 weeks and then agen at around 8 which confirmed the heartbeat wich was amazin. u will love the next scan where u will get 2 c an actual baby its amazin

I know I cant wait...i keep worrying that there wont be a heart beat but i guess most ppl think this....I know its there and has got 1 but cant help worrying.

If you dont mind me asking why are you going to be a single mum?

Hope we can keep in touch...its really nice to share things, experiences and up to the birth.....nice to tlk to ppl my age.

me and the babys father split up when i was about 4 weeks pregnant but he is still involved in the babys life so thats ok.

i used to worry about the baby not havin a heartbeat even tho i had already seen it before and the gp advised me that if u have already seen the babys heartbeat there is 98% chance that everything is ok.

hope that makes u feel better. thats y i was glad i had an early scan cuz i got 2 c the heartbeat and then knew that it was very unlikely i would hav a miscarriage.

are u 20 aswell then?

I am 21....and my 22nd is a week on fri....2days after my scan so a really nice prezzie. Me and my partner have been thinking of baby names I know its early but i like to be organised and stuff!! Have you any names?

yeah i have a couple of names but think it will be between summer and caitlyn. im 21 9 days before im due lol so if baby is early i will have a very good birthday present. had a 4d scan yesterday will upload the pics and u can tell me wether she looks like a summer or a caitlyn?

I think she looks like a caitlyn...she looks beautiful!!! I really want a 4d scan but my partner does not like them and says they look weird...but I really want 1. I like for a girl Olivia Louise, Taylor May...for a boy Alfie James and Reece Owen (not sure about the middle name owen tho my prtner has chose that 1)

Gemma your scans are amazing...I agree, i think she looks like a Caitlyn, Summer is very pretty though as well!! I really want a 4D scan, but like you Emma OH thinks they are weird and seeing as we paid for a sexing scan to find out she was a little girl we should leave a few things as a surprise! Our little one is called Ava Mae, even our parents refer to her as Ava now! I love the name Olivia...it was top of my list. If she was a boy she would have been Ethan. Shes really been boogying about today....I love it, really reassuring! i remeber the 1st few weeks being really hard...i was constantly worrying and as i didnt really have any symptons i thought i was imagining it all! Ive got another scan at 30 weeks (19th May) as she has a poorly kidney, cant wait 2 c her again!!

How you getting on with prep for the baby Gemma? We're slowly getting sorted, finally ordered the nursery furniture...should be here in 4 weeks. Im goin on mat leave at beginning of may as i have my graduation...cant w8 now, only about 5 weeks! Ive got so many clothes im going to have to wash for her!

I dont understand why my OH thinks they look weird...i think there great! We are not finding out what we arw having so I thought it would be nice to have a 4D scan to see baby moving in a diff way!  Aw how has she got a poorly kidney, hope she is ok?

Men are the weird ones!! Oh well...he has let me have everything else that i have wanted, so i cant really complain! lol! In some ways i wish we had waited to find out waht she was, but im so impatient!! My mum and mum in law are also very excited 1st time grandparents to be and they were buying far to many white/cream things! bless them! Its quite nice now as well because we call her by her name and i chat away to her...lol!

When i went for my 20 week scan it was found that one of her kidneys is slightly dilated (should be 5mm is 5.4mm) Apparently its quite common and they grow out of it by the time they are born, so just to check i have another scan at 30 weeks. Its not a major problem, just if its still dilated when shes born shell have to have some antibiotics to stop her from getting a kidney infection, bless her. being .4 off a mm over is hardly anything, one of the other mums on here had a son whos was 12mm dilated and hes now a very happy, healthy 2 yr old! lol! Not to worried but it was horrible at the scan cos they just sat in silence for 45 mins then she called a colleague in!!

How are you feeling? Its lovely to get the 1st 12 weeks out of the way isnt it?!

Not doing so good today...had a tooth taken out thins morning and it hurts like hell lol! My side of my face is still numb! CAnt really complaine about this pain tho can I ha!

Be in worse pain than this in 6 months! All I have so far is cream things....had alot of help from my friends already, my friend had a lil girl last year in aug and she has given me qhite a few things...moses basket..bath...and loads of cream and white clothes! In a way I would like to find out what we are having as I really wan2 buy blue or pink clothes. My partner is hoping we have a boy 1st but i really think its gonna be a girl!

Aw I am getting my feeling bk in my face now lol! (sorry). I fell quite alone at the minute tho...mots of my mate have there own little lives and stuff, even tho my OH is here i feel alone and fell like i have no one my age to talk about my feelings and thins! Mayb its just my emotions!

Aw I hope everything is ok...I had jaundice when i was born so the hospital and midwife have to keep an eye on my liver and babys!

Ohhh...Having teeth out is nerver fun. i had 4 out at 1 time wen i had my braces as a teenager! still remember the feeling now....but im sure your right, think this birth malarky is gonna sting a bit more! lol!

Really nice of your friend to give you all those things...save you a fortune, leaving more money for all those pink or blue things when little one is born!! Im off 2 the baby show in a cpl of weeks..not really got much to buy but i cant resist a good old mooch round a giant baby shop! lol! takin mum and mum in law with me, hopefully get some treats for me 2! i will be 7 months then tho, so even i may be defeated by the shopping! lol

I know how you feel lovely, when i moved away for Uni (form portsmouth to cardiff, differnt counrty and everything!lol!) I lost contact with a lot of my friends as we all kind of went our seperate ways. i met some fab m8s at uni, but this summer theyll all be graduating and moving on too...im th only one settling down and having a baby, although they are all really happy and supportive they cant really relate, and nor me to them anymore. Really cant w8 until my anti natal classes so i can meet some other first time mums, its jus a shame that they are so late on in the pregnancy! Where abouts are you from?

I am from manchester. I went strait to work when I left school and made alot a friends...there are a few i keep in contact with but most of the time all they want talk about is going out getting drunk etc! And I just wan2 talk baby's! lol. I di miss the going out not the drinking it kinda knocks me sick now...but wouls be nice to be invited out with friends etc. I do (did have a very best friend who i have known from being 3......she had a very awful time last year wehn she was around 20wks preg she went into labour and gave birth to a still birth...very sad time, but now i have tried to contact her about me and other things she does not wan2 know.

I am getting to the stage now i want to shop 24/7 for baby things...my dad gave me a £30 next voucher the other wk...abd think I might save that 4 after baby is born get him/her some posh outfits! Mw and mu OH are @ the stage now were its just looking...but  really wan2 buy lol!

I am feeling loads better now but think my BP is a bit low..just trying to relax etc get it bk up!

Are you coming bk to pourtsmouth to have baby?

Morning Emma!

How was your weekend? Did actually manage to see a cpl of Uni friends, found it hard tho as all i seem to have to talk about is the baby and my wedding, neither of which they can relate to!!  

Im terrible with buying...i think i started getting bits and peices around 12 weeks and havent really stopped since...off to the Baby show in May so no doubt ill end up spending even more! lol! Its nice to no tho that i can just relaz in the last cpl of months and not have to rush round buying things!!

really sad about your friend, it must be hard for her, but still not right that she doesnt want to know about you! Maybe you could send her a little card...let her know your thinking of her and maybe she'll getin touch. My best friend from Portsmouth has kind of dropped me since she found out, sont think i really fit in with her lifestyle anymore and shes never been that bothered about children. she thought i was mad when i chose to become a primary teacher, now im having children of my own she thinks im a complete loony!! ive sent her a card...i no i cant do anything elso so now its up to her, at least i dont feel guilty!  

Hope your BP is better, make sure you get plenty of rest....make sure OH pulls his weight! lol!

Def not going back to Portsmouth, OH is very patriotically Welsh so i think he would kill me if i decided to have his child in England! lol! my mum and dad are movin up here 2 (my dads originally from Cardiff) and so I have no real reason (apart from a cpl of old friends) to go back there! The hospital here is also much nicer than the one in Portsmouth...much better reports and reviews! Also couldnt face the 2 hr drive everytime i had an appointment....especially as day by day my bump is fitting less well underneath the steering wheel!

My weekend was brill got to spend some quality time with my OH dont tend to spend alot of time just me and him as he works till 8 @ night and he has his lil girl @ weekends, she is 3 from a prev relationship and she is called Izzy and great! So we ad some me and him time on sunday...I start a new job next tuse the 8th...so when and got some new tops....long 1nes so they will fit me later on with bump as well lol!! Then we went out for an early late lunch/tea and was brill!!

Me and my OH was planning on getting married in aug this next year..this may still happen coz baby will be amost 1.....so will wait and see.

I have my 1st scan in 2days and I am soooooo excited.....bit worried...every time i think about it i get butterflies lol!

Wen i had my 1st can @ around 8weeks i found out i was a few days a head of what i was so really wanting to find out my actuall EDD!

Glad you had a nice w'end wit OH, i cant get rid of mine on the w'end, bless him! im off 2 my mums this w'end and hes staying home, having his best mate round and decorating the babies room. Not sure how much they'll get done in between watching the footy and trips to the pub! loL!

You can def still manage it in Aug, ours is in July!! Be so amazing hoaving our little ones there, shes gonna be a flower girl!!

Im sure your scan will be fine lovely, i felt exactly the same, even for my 20 weeks scan. Its lovely seeing them wiggling round, and she'll look like a proper baby now, unlike at 8 weeks!! They'll def b able to tell u ur EDD as well. Its always reassurimg too, because they say tht if you see the heart beat at 12 week scan theres more than a 90% chance that the baby will reach full term...much better than the 1 in 3 miscarraige odds!

The next xpl of weeks will go so quick...i jus cant believe tht im 6 months now...completely mad!! Im enjoying it at the mo cos im feeling really well...see what happens in a cpl of weeks when i start waddling!! lol!

If you are feeling lonely sign up for ante natal classes. I have met some lovely friends and we are all still seeing each other regularly now our babies are 7 months old. That way you meet people who are doing exactly the same things as you and they are a lot of support too. We share worries and funny moments and it is really special. I am sure your hospital can put you in touch with a group, or contact NCT. Your other friends are probably feeling a bit funny about you being pregnant, I know mine did!

Goodluck with everything- getting pregnant was the best thing to ever happen to me!

How are you?

I have got my scan 2day @ half 3...really excited and nervous @ the same time. Been so tired over the past couple of days not had alot of energy!

I shuld be around 13wks now and your right since i hit around 11wks it has gone sooo fast...is scary! I am also 22 on friday so gonna have another busy wknd. I know after 2day I am gonna wan2 but loads more things for baby..know ing everythings good!!

Any how...3hours to go so gonna nip in the shower..wake my self up..and I will be on later to update every1.

Ava Bump is fine, she usually has a good bounce around about 11 and then goes back to sleep about now...jus in time for her to wake up again after lunch and push it back up out of my stomach...nice!
