I got a good stock of stuff from TK Maxx, some designer, some just funky. The Next clearance shop is also good. I found matalan not to be as good quality, with threads, etc not finished off.
Also, funny little baby shops can be good, like pram centre's bargain buckets and chemists. I also like sainsbury's baby stuff, and my sister says their stuff washes really well - where you might get greyness ore shrinkage with Tesco and Asda, although I've still got the quality test to do, and I have lots of their white vests cos they are so cheap. Hope you find something good x

If youve got the time, try customising vests yourself. Get some cheap ones from Primark/Woolworths and some fabric paint, then get creative :-)

I do the same as Emma! I handpainted a load of gothic style baby vests for my little boys - and a gay couple I know were expecting a baby so I did them a whole years age worth (0-3 all the way to 12-18) of vests with rainbows on! (Gay pride!) I also tie dyed some seriously cool purple baby gros and vests for a funky friend of mine. Very easy (and cheap!) to do. I did it in the washing machine to remove the excess dye easier.

ah yeah thats a great idea never thought of that, think might try that on my unused white baby sleepsuits hate wearing White on my son lol....
|
 |
make sure if you do tie dye to use a plastic/nylon string to tie the patterns in - I used cotton string the first time *d'oh* !! Even if you don't use biological washing tablets usually, I would recommend using them for machine dyeing because they agitate the excess dye out of the fabric better.
