Hi, I need some help!!!
I am trying to find a double buggy that will be suitable for my newborn baby (due 01/10/07) and my 3 yr old daughter who is disabled. She can walk, but not far and likes to sleep alot, so her seat needs to recline. Also needs seperate hoods and aprons as she tantrums almost constantly. Also it needs to fold quite small to go in small carboot. Been looking at first wheels city twin, but think seat is a little small for Molly. Any ideas or am I asking too much? Jayne

Hi Steph,

Molly has slight brain damage and gross hyportonia, muscles are very flexible + shes very floppy most of time so needs a seat that will be big enough to support her. Her legs hang in the wheel on 3wheel buggies and she also leans to one side a lot, so these are definately out. Shes of normal weight for a 3 yr old (15-16kgs) but is quite tall. She also likes to sleep for most of our journeys.

Hi Jayne, i have a disabled daughter too and when i had Kayleigh i brought the mamas and papas aria twin. It has seperate seats which fully recline as they are suitable for newborns. I had Lucie 4 yrs in it and Kayleigh 2 years in it and all of Lucies medical equiptment. The only thing that might be a problem is the rain cover as it's just a great big one to cover both seats.
I liked the aria so much that i brough the single version for my newest addition Kyrie (16 wks). Hope this helps!
Also i got the money for my pushchair from social services, might be worth a try if youv'e got a social worker!

Mamas and Papas have a pushchair called the Aria Twin, and it has two side by side, only one is smaller than the other so it is perfect for your childrens ages!!

Thanks for all your messages, have bought a firstwheels city twin from ebay, it cant of been used more than half a dozen times. So a real bargain at half the price of a new 1, has two seperate hoods and seperate raincovers and seats recline and a carrycot for baby too. Apart from being quite wide, its perfect in every other way.

Hi, I sold the firstwheels City Twin, as it wouldn't fit through my front door without folding it! I have now bought a jane powertwin (3 wheeler) Molly sits at the back and baby Ffion sits in the front in her carseat. It is brilliant, best pushchair I have ever bought and I have had 15 years experience of pushing a pushchair! Jayne
