Hi Everyone!!

I have bought all my feeding equipment eg. bottles, steriliser, bottle warmer in avent but now i have changed my mind and want to use tommy tippee.

But i can't buy a new steriliser and bottles because i have nothing to do with my avent ones and i am due in 11 days, so i have no time to find someone to sell them too!!!

So i was wondering if enybody knows if the tommy tippee closer to nature bottles (both sizes 9oz and 4oz) Fit into a avent eletric steriliser and the avent bottle warmer???

Thanks xxTnixx

Hi Antonia,

Sorry can't help with this, but just to say that the Tommy Tippee bottles are brilliant, my baba, almost 4 weeks old hardly has any wind and is a very contented baby!

Could you not take them back to the shop that you brought it from....? If you still have the recipt maybe say it is an unwanted gift?

Good luck for your exciting event.... I can't believe how fast this past four weeks of my life has gone....!

Morning. You shouldnt have a prob with the steraliser or bottle warmer but the steraliser may just nt take as many bottles as tommy tippy are so much rounder and more squat. (You know what i mean!) I have never used tommy tippy bottles but avent are fantastic and i used them for my first two boys and have them for baby number three.

I think most of the bottles are much of a muchness now and most seem to have something to reduce colic. TT are cheaper tho, avent can still be quite expensive but worth it in my opinion!

Hya everyone,

Thanks both for you emails, i just don't know what to do i am stuck in between using either avent or tommy tippee bottles has i have heard so much stuff about both bottle some being good and some bad!

Like i have read alot that the avent bottles leak, but i have also heard that they are  fantastic  too, but i have hearrd more about  tommy tippee being better bottles that is why i decided to change to tommy tippee.

This is my first baby so its alot harder, but i suppose its not up to me, its up to which bottles are best for the baby (well which the baby prefers) and i can't find that out until the baby arrives Lol

I have still got the receipt, i suppose i could take them back thats when i have made up my mind and decided what i'm doing! lol

PHILIPPA  have you had any problems with the avent bottles leaking??

Thanks!

Hi No i must say i never had any problems with the bottles leaking. I would suggest you buy two or three bottles of each type and see what works best for you. Asda have a avent starter pack reduced from £19.97 to just £10 and tomy tippy sell packs of two bottles so it wouldnt cost too mich to try both and you can always sell them on on ebay!

Don't worry too much at this stage. As you say the baby will tell you what he/sghe likes and dislikes and which bottles they take to best.

Just relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and make your decision when the baby comes xxx

hya,

Thanks, i think i might just do that i have already got the avent starter pack, so i only really need to buy a pack of tommy tippee and like you said it won't cost to much.

Thanks for your help, now i  can enjoy my last few days!!! lol I can't wait!!!

Hiya Antonia

I used avent when I had my son and I spent a furtune but they made my son get really bad wind and he didnt really take to them so I got the tommy tippee nube bottles and they were great at first but they only lasted about 6 months and they started to leak. T he rim of the bottle must of got dissfigured and the lids didnt really fit properly so my son would be lying having his bottle and the lid would just come off and he got drenched with milk. Im pregnant again and Iv bought tommee tippee closer to nature bottles.       As Philippa said your baby will tell you what they like. Iv got an avent steriliser(microwave one) and the tommy tippee bottles fit in that so should fit in the electric one.

Hope everything goes well for you to Philippa! xx

Hya Rebecca,

Thanks for your email,

Hopefully the tommy tippee (closer to nature) bottles do fit the avent electric sreriliser, just incase i do have to use them!!

Well like philippa suggested i am going to buy a pack of tommy tippee bottles so i have got both types of bottles at home just incase!!

But today i was thinking should i try baby on both bottles??

Well what i mean is  if i try both bottles and the baby likes them both!! i can't exacly give the baby two types of bottles LOL how will i know which ones to use then!!

Or do u think i should just try  one type and if the baby seems fine with them, dont bother trying the other type!!

 LOL Thanks!!

why dont you keep the recipt for the tommy tippee bottles and if the baby is ok with the avent bottles take the others back.

If the baby likes both I dont see the reason why you dont just use both at least it will save sterilising the same ones all the time. If you ask me the more bottles the better

hya Rebecca,

I don't really mind buying the bottles even if i don't use them, it's just i was wondering weather to try both types thats all!

Suppose i could use both if the baby likes them, it's just this is my first baby and i didn't know weather you could use two types of bottles at the same time!!

thanks for your help!!!
