Hi

Ive just bought a mamas & papas pramette (Skoot) from the outlet store, I have a Ford ka and my boot is tiny so I know what you mean, id be interested to see if anyone can recommend a car with a spacious boot but without having to go large! Lets watch this space..........

hi sonia

i took my pram round the garages yesterday and tried it out in some boots it actually fits in a fiesta if u put it in diagonal it also fits in a focus and a fusion not sure about the ka its worth takin the pram out with u when u go lookin tho.

even if i did look a bit strange 7 months pregnant with an empty pram!

I have the skoot, I love it. Our car is a ford mondeo, I could fit several prams in the boot if I wanted. It isnt the smallest car but a really good family car. I also think the focus has quite a large boot and is a smaller car than the mondeo. Hope this helps.

ok thanks ladies, sounds a bit drastic changing your car to accomodate a pram doesnt it but I guess thats what having a baby does to you - you have to change every aspect of your life, even down to the car you drive!

Glad to hear you love your skoot Noicola, I was really begining to regret buying it coz its so bulky and quite heavy, but it is lovely and looks so comfy and sturdy! Is it easy to manage out and about etc?  Im hoping I'll loose all my baby weight lugging it about as I live in a 1st floor apt with no lift so it means lugging it up and down stairs - hope I dont do myself a mischief!

Son x

Its not the easiest pram when its facing you, but once you get the hang of it it's fine. I know it looks bulky but it's really not that heavy to lift. I saw a baby in it before I bought it and he looked so comfortable, I had to have it. When you are using it as a pushchair its lovely to push, very easy to manouvre. My baby sits in it all the time, even in the house, I put the footmuff on and give him all his toys and they dont fall out, he has his afternoon sleep in it, he has also slept in it when we went away for the weekend, he slept longer than he does in his cot.
