hello- i realize this is quite an old post originally so i am referring to the 2007 model.

i too am thinking about getting this buggy as it was the first one i saw and fell in love with since finding out am pregnant with 1st baby.  I have researched this buggy for nearly 5 months now and have considered the Bugabo cameleon , the Silver Cross 3D and M&P Pramette but alway come back to the Quinny.  I have seen a million bugaboos in my area so sick to death of them- the quinny is ey catching .  It appeals to me because ill be out and about a lot and can use the Maxi Cosi car seat which is meant to be the best one and can be attached to the fram/chais with no need for adaptors etc.  i also have a small hatchbach Polo and will fit in ! i also will buy the carry cot which can be used as a moses basket ( can buy sepaearte mattress for comfort) but well have a cot as well.  The only thing my frind said thats not good is the steering but i tested in shop and seems ok to me..i was goiung to buy online from ebay as good deals howver if you buy from mothercare/john lewis its probably more secure if things go wrong and you can swap/refund it .

Also if you see people in the steets- although a tad embarrassing- ask them about it mums will be too happy to oblidge! i asked a lady in blockbuster and she rated it highly.  no matter what buggy you by, like a car there will always be a downside or you may be the unucky one who gets a faulty one hence my advise to buy from a proper shop.

 Hope this helps!

I too fell in love with the look of it,and now three other people i know have got one too,i have got the 07 model,it dosent steer well when you are going over curbs due to the smaller wheel,if the front wheelwas bigger this wouldnt happen.Im sure once you have been ot and about you will see what i mean.Im not knocking the buzz completely i just feel that its not as solid as other prams or buggys i have had in the past and will be looking to sell it soon and get a different type.My friends who have the same have also commented on little things that they also dont feel are safe with it.I know its got all  the interchangable things you can put on it,but i feel a little let down,i also did buy it from a baby shop off ebay and it does have a guarantee but the things i have noticed are classed as common faults with the buzz. Im going to seek something far more rugged and with a big shop net or basket underneath as im sick of tying carrier bags onto the frame when ive been to the local shops and then the buzz slighlty tipping as its not very heavy.Good luck to all those who get one,but as ive used it now for 4 months and got a feel for it i will still not recommend one to anyone.

I love my Quinny Buzz as does my daughter now aged 14m.  I previously had the Jane Powertrack - which was good but the Buzz is lighter, easier, shorter in length (though slightly wider in width).  I've never had any problems with steering or punctures - so far anyway!  I love the fact that the baby/child can face you or face forward.  The only thing I would say is make sure you buy the underneath basket (not the buzzbox - it comes with that) otherwise you have no where to put bits and bobs, though even with that you won;t be able to carry a full load of shopping!

The Quinny Buzz may look the part, but that's about it.  Here are the problems we had with ours:

1.  You really struggle getting it on public transport.

2.  It doesn't come with a proper shopping basket.  The buzzbox is ok for nappies and wipes, but doesn't hold anything bigger than a bottle of milk.

3.  It's so wide we have trouble getting round most shops, especially at Christmas.

4.  The footrest doesn't stay in one position.

5.  One of the main screws fell out when were out walking, leaving me struggling to try and get it home whilst holding the baby!  This was after just 5 months of using a BRAND NEW £300 PRAM.

In all, it's a pile of c**p and I honestly CANNOT recommend this pram to anybody!

Hi - i did not buy this buggy in the end a a friend of mine who is a buyer for mothercare said it was alays getting returned and told me not to get so we got the bugaboo cameleon . another thing- the quinny didnt fit into my car boot! x

An addition to earlier post

As well as the problems I mentioned before, the rain cover rips really easily!

I agree with they look the part, thats it.Ive just sold mine on ebay it was 7 months old and i got £150 for it,im glad to see it go to be honest.I had problems with the brakes as i live in a rural town and theres lots of hills.I also recently had the buzz tip right over in the wind with my baby in it!!my heart melted and missed a beat when this happened, the next day i ordered a maclaren buggy, its solid, rugged and may not look like a ufo but im now alot happier.

for all those who love quinys you can pick up a used one from ebay that are in mint condtion as people who have used them for a while are now realising that they are not all they are cracked up to be! I think if you live in a flat urban town or city then you will be ok,just not rural places with hills and cobbles and narrow streets. Not forgetting i couldnt get round my local co-op without banging into somebody because of the width!!

.rain cover rips

.it gets loose the longer you use it

.brakes are not great on hills

.can tip with shopping tied onto handle or high wind

.tips over when you go over a curb etc, etc, etc

I do feel silly now as my huband said i was buying it for the look not the practical use!!

Well I still love mine - had it over a year, rain cover used and is the best rain cover I've had - fits well but I can still get into it easily if I need to.

Had no punctures, never tipped over.  Basket is big enough for what I need (would be no good to do a big shop though).  So easy to fold and put up again.

I use my Maclaren buggy to get to and from the childminders as it folds up a lot easier in her hallway (Buzz is very big) and I have more problems with that tipping over at the kerb and shopping etc.

I live in a city. though have used it in the country on rural paths and although it wasn;t as good as my old Jane for county use but far better in every other way for the city.

You will never find a pushchair that will suit everyone, luckily we have lots of choice nowadays.  I just wanted to put a positive comment in amoungst all the negative ones!
