Hi Heidi Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am sorry you are having problems. It could be spd! (Symphis Pubic Dysfunction) Certainly sounds lik it! You need to speak to your midwife or labour ward and they can diagnose it. You can get physio for it and support belts which really help but you need to get lots of rest too as it can be agonising!

Come and join us on the SPD thread. We are all suffering from the same sort of thing and know how horrid it is.

This is my third baby and i am now 34 weeks I can't wait to have him.

hi heidi congratulations.... I agree with philippa come and join us on spd forum as sounds like that is what you have.. a lot of ladies I have spoken to go to see their mw then wait ages for a physio appointment... when I phoned my mw up she told me to go to abour ward as she refused to come and see me.. I got a verbal referal to physio and I was in the foloowing week... I was 18 weeks when I was diagnosed with it and had been suffereing for weeks beofre... I will say though that they tell you to rest a lot and not to hoover or push a trolley and limit walking up and downstairs and basically do not open your legs mor then shoulder width.. good luck and hope to see you on the other forum too x x x
