Hi Rachael

Congrats on the pregnancy. You can buy breakfast cereal with folic acid in and i think some bread now comes with it in and there are veggies that you can get that have a natural source of folic acid. I eat cereal with it in so even if i i forget to take my tablets at least i have something.

Cheers

morning rachael im 31weeks now and didnt find out i was pregnant till i was 10 weeks so by the time i saw my m/w she said it wasnt worth taking folic acid so i havent taken any and all my scans showed baby to be fit and healthy and im not worried as there is loads of people who dont know they are pregnant so dont take none and they have healthy babies you will also have your bloods checked at about 12 weeks and 30 weeks (everywhere is slightly different and may do them earlier or later then these weeks)  to check for things like this

Rachel, like Anne-Marie I did not take my folic acid.  I found out I was pregnant when I was 8 weeks and I did buy the pills, I just forgot to take them (just like i forgot my pill - ha ha)!

My baby is fine so far so don't worry about missing the odd one every now and again.
