Hi,

I am just about to purchase the Graco Quattro Duo and was wondering if anyone had any idea where to buy a raincover for this buggy.  Can't find one anywhere!  Starting to think that the Graco Stadium tandem raincover fits all Graco tandems.  Would I be right?

Any other opinions on this buggy is also appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

I used this buggy for a short while before my son decided to walk everywhere.

It was a good buggy although my son was a bit big for the front seat.  I couldn't use the hood on the front seat.  Which meant the raincover was no use.  I think if it is for a child under 2 it should be fine but any older than that it is still quite difficult to push although easier than others I had tried.

Its also quite big folded down.  Reclining seat on the front was great.  Rear seat was great aswell loads of space.  Raincover was good also as it had flaps to open at each side at the back for easy access to your baby.

The buggy is quite long in length and is quite bulky but it is very sturdy.

Hope all this makes sense.

I liked it for the short time I needed it and I have had a few buggies.

Let me know what you decide and how you get on.

any other questions please feel free to ask

I have been looking at double pushchairs as my son will be 2 when my baby arrives. I had a go of this one in a shop and I think it is a monster of a pushchair. I think pushing a train would be easier lol. After trying loads of them I decided side by side is the way to go. I liked the aria twin+. Its wide, but not that wide as the smaller baby has a narrower seat. If you are set on getting one in front of the other then I found the cossato one the best, it's not very long. However, when I put my son in all of the one in front of the other pushchairs I nearly gave myself a hurnia trying to get it up a step! And thats without the new baby in it. I have decided to give it a go without the twin and just get a buggy board, see how we get on as I think my 2 year old is going to be the next houdini and is constantly escaping from his straps, reins, carseat, safety gate, etc. Seems a waste of money at the minute.

I had a urban detour twin side by side from Mothercare- couldn't go in any doors with it but brilliant to steer.  Had to put it outside then lift the kids out because of width, not ideal when raining.  For its large width it had quite narrow seats. Just wasn't practical although I could steer it with one hand.

I also had a Cosatto due Lite - biggest load of rubbish ever impossible to steer.  It was the most disappointing pushchair I have ever had.  Sold it for £15 at a car boot sale just to get rid of it!!!

My son was a big boy too at 17 months when my daughter was born so The Graco tandem probably won't do you for very long either as the hood is quite low.

I have a friend who has a Jane powertwin and she swears by it, thinks its great but I think it's very expensive although it probably would be worth it if you get good use of it.  All tandems I think are going to be hard to steer if you are like me and have a, big for their age, older child.

I struggled to find one with wide enough seats side by side but still went through doorways or a tandem that actually would go in the direction I wanted without putting my back out!  It is very hard to decide as they all have positives and negatives.  Best to go around the shops and try your oldest in the front and have a walk around the shop, then find it cheaper on the net.

Last thing...I wouldn't buy the Hauck side by side. Its not great!

Good Luck x

Hi Nicola,

My son was 17 months when my daughter was born and 3 pushchairs later I eventually gave up and had him walking when he was about 2 years old.  It does restrict you to where and when you go places but its easier than struggling with a double buggy that is just a pain!  I used to walk for miles with my son when I was pregnant but every short walk takes at least an hour and half now!!!  I tried a buggy board and my son hated it and I have to say so did I.  I kept on kicking it.

Your right about tandems they are so hard to push especially going up kirbs.

When I finally spotted the M&P Aria it was to late my son was so used to walking and my husband hit the roof when I mentioned buying another double buggy.  If I were to buy one now I think your right I think I would choose this one although I do think there will still be restrictions to some doorways but they all have negatives.

I am a confessed pram-a-holic!!!And I'm heart broken as that is my daughter wanting to walk now so I hardly use the one i have nowI liked pushing a buggy!!!I have no babies now.

I am a pramaholic too, I drive my husband mad lol. I would be lost without a pushchair too, I am on baby no.4 now (and boy no.4 lol). I have promised that this will be the last. I will probably have to turn into a bagaholic after that so I have something to do with my arms!

Lucky for me I am usually out with my mam and will still be able to take Toby's pushchair for her to push. I dont think he will go on a buggy board either, I did see a lady with a bike that attached to the side of her pushchair the other day, that looked good but I am yet to find out where you can buy them from!

4? I have enough trying to deal with my 2. x

I have seen a thing called a buggypod it looks like a seat that just clips onto the side of a stroller and folds away when not in use.  Think you can only buy these from the net tho. Same with the bike.

Its a backpack I've decided I need.  When a have they two in each hand can't hold or do anything else.
