Hi Rani
It should be ready to use, though a newborn teat (one or two holes) would be much slower than a regular teat.
I will look into it for you.

i have got a new tomee tippee bottle in the box, but don't think it is the same, but there is a helpline on the box if it helps at all?

Hi, I've been using these bottles with my little girl from birth. She is now nearly 5 months old. They are the only bottles she has got on well with and I definitely recommend them. No sign of colic, but we may have just been lucky there. The number 1 teats (0-3 months) let hardly any milk out when you tip them upside down or shake them around. When you move up to the number 2 teats (3months plus) they do let more out when you shake them. I think this has been an advantage though that not much milk comes out that way...our feeds aren't generally that messy. You'll notice during the feed whether the teats are working right or not. I bet there isn't a problem though.

thanks to all for the help-we called the help line-they said when we first use it we have to squeeze the teat between our fingers to open up the hole-we did that &she is getting the milk now
thanks

i only use tomme tippees their company really is pretty good and only company that i have found that doesn't cause colic my 16month old sister only takes tommee tippees they really are good would advice anyone to use them but i have heard problems with the teat sometimes they do need to be reholed by mummy lol sometimes they are not holed when they are gotten but they are ment to be just take care of the colic vent bit because my sil got confused by this bit and almost burnt herself so always make sure its iniverted and not outter for safety resons and to ensure the baby gets full effect of the anti-colic

can tomme tippee closer to nature bottles only be used when baby is breast fed not to sure what to be buying not planning on breast feeding.
Show/hide user stats
No, you can use them if you are not breast feeding, I started off breast feeding for the first month but did`nt get on with it very well but carried on using them when I stopped. He still uses them now at 5 1/2 months.

I express milk and use the tommee tippee's bottles it just stops babies getting confused between bottle and breast but it is meant to be one of the best bottles on the market, and reduces the risks of colic. so far they have been great for me and my son he's now 5weeks old and loves the tommee tippee range he wont even look at the avent ones so... hope you have the same good exprense i have with the bottles and don't worry about not breastfeeding, some people find it easier not to, it can be a real pain, sadly my little one can't really stand formula food it gets him really blocked up so i choose that breastfeeding was best for him and because he was also very premature it helped him alot too...

Good luck Lynne With your new baby....

Take care
