I had an icandy apple last year, i would not reccomend this pushchair! It is heavy and bulky, the basket underneath is very small and hard to get any thing into when the seat unit is on instead of the carrycot. The pushchair seat unit is very uncomfortable looking for babys under about 8 months. I had my icandy for about six months and in that time i needed two new wheels and the seat position adjuster needed fixing aswell! In the end i sold it and got a mclaren techno xlt and its great!!!!

I also bought and icandy and I can honestly say it is the worst thing I have ever bought in my life.  I have also ended up buying a Maclaren quest and now own a bugaboo, both of which are fantastic.

The icandy is heavy, bulky, and the wheels at the front do not work properly - they do not swivel so you end up getting stuck in the road !  The shopping basket is totally inaccessible in carry cot mode and the attachments for the car seat are so cheap and stiff that it is impossible to lift a baby into and out of the chassis - absolutely dreadful product.   I have also had to return mine once already - the chassis was faulty.

What is worse, is that when I wrote to icandy to complain, they have refused to answer any of my queries at all!  I am now having to take it back to the retailer to ask for a refund.

Don't buy it!

I have an ICandy Apple and love it.

  • It is heavy and bulky but  it is sturdy and solid.
  • Fits in the boot of my mini.
  • Takes about 30 seconds to disassemble and reassemble
  • Can be folded with the pushchair seat on in forward facing mode.
  • We too had a problem with the front wheels and were told that it was a manufacturing fault. The wheels were replaced immediately by our retailer.
  • I can push it with one hand. (although only on flat surfaces)
  • Our daughter had to use pushchair seat at 5 months and she loves it far more than the carrycot.
  • Can sleep virtually flat in pushchair or sit up and watch the world go by facing us or facing forward.
  • Easy to recline the seat.
  • Can be used with the maxicosi car seat
  • Pushchair straps can pinch skin - if you hold the fastners away from the connection this isnt a problem.
  • Shopping basket is huge! Accommodates lots of shopping and a changing bag.
  • Foot Muff keeps baby really warm in sub zero temp. (We live in Canada!)
  • Cheaper and less common than a Bugaboo
  • Gets lots of admiring comments
  • Daddy loves it too!

Hi,

I had a quinny, but now had our second child, and still havent got a double buggy. One of the best things for me about the iCandy pear is that it can take a car seat - I already have a maxi cosi from the quinny, and since I drive a lot, thats important to me.

We went to a shop to try one out, and i was worried about how comfortable my toddler would be, but that looks fine. Only thing is, I couldnt fold it!!! Saleslady got it, my husband got it, I must have tried over 100 times, no exageration, and it only folded twice, and by mistake, so I couldnt repeat what I had just done to do it again! Help - I cant buy a buggy that I cant fold, but am so stuck - its a logistical nightmare to go anyplace with 2 kids, ages 2 months and 20 months, and only 1 buggy!!!

I can go back and have another try folding it, and if yes, its really what I want...so all those people who say its easy to fold - how???

Hi all, could anyone help. Im looking to buy just a rear wheel for my icandy apple as i have a very annoying puncture and no amount of repair kit has solved it? Could anyone point me in the right direction??

best regards

Stephen Jeffrey

I would contact icandy - i have spoken to them as I needed a wheel replacement - they were quite helpful and although I had to chase them up they did send out a new wheel.
