Hi there this is first time i ve eva written on a place like this and a bit nervous!!!  i started bleedin last sunday wen i was 10 and a half weeks pregnant so i rang up midwife from local hospital and they said earliest they could see me was thurs which i thought was awful, in end things got worse and went to A&E on tues night 4 hours later i was seen by a doctor and admitted to hospital i had a scan wed morn but they couldnt find a heart beat but still wasnt sure if dates were wrong or if i was miscarryin. since then been bleeding lots and lossin large amounts of clots had to go back to hospital on fri even and as normal the NHS were awful i feel they hav made this situation so much worse then it had to be!!! was any1 else treated like this?

How long did u all bleed for wen u miscarried and how heavy was it, i dont really know wot is normal as this is my first mc.

would b thankful to any responses

hi sorry to hear your news . I was treated very well by my Gp and then the A&E dept . I bleed heavily for about 3 or 4 days and had a period about 3 weeks later. But I heard nurses tell other patients that you can bleed for upto 5/6 weeks! Everyone is different and the loss of the baby is at different times too, so there is no exact answer I'm afraid but they should have told you this !!Try to rest and maybe talk to other friends or family to help you get through it . I don't think there is a normal!  I can't remember my Mc bleed precisely but during a period I would bleed probably more when moving about more and less at night! If you are concerned then go to your Gp for advice. Ness            To Marilia  I seriously recommend you go to your GP and ask for a blood test so you know for sure, or have a scan, if you think you are 12/13 weeks !
