Hello ladies, how you doing? Hope you and the babies are keeping well. The temperature here is at last dropping – it was only 31C when we out for our walk at 830 last night. I know you’ve had shocking weather in Blighty over the last few days, but if you were living with this heat you’d be praying for rain!

Vicky – how was your trip to Italy? Where did you stay? I just love Italy, the thought of all that wonderful food just makes my mouth water! Going there wont help the waistline – but what the hey - don’t’ they say 9 months on 9 months off and trying to loose weight in the autumn/winter is impossible!! I hope Logan enjoyed his first flight!
Laura – sorry to hear abut the bump, even when it’s a minor one it still shakes you. How did the photo shoot go?
Cristina – sorry to hear about Eve’s weight. I so sympathise with you Ben has dropped off the chart he’s not even gained 1lb since his last check up over 5 weeks ago. It’s such a worry – but I also think that the HV and docs place too much emphasis on charts! She sounds like she’s doing really well.
Julz – glad to hear Tyler’s a happier bunny and you can get out and about.
Pearl – good to hear from flower. Glad the Christening went well, and why am I not surprised there was a bit of drama involved!?
NG – congrats on exchanging contracts – when the moved planned for. Moving house is such a good time to clear out – though not easy with a baby in tow!
Kirsty – glad to hear Toby’s enjoying his solids – I’m really looking forward to Ben’s messy feeding sessions!
Es – soo pleased for you flower. Loads of glue coming your way. I was 14 weeks before I posted on here – didn’t want to t tempt fate either! Xxxx
We went for Benjamins check up on Saturday, the injections went ok – very lucky that he’s not really been affected by them. His weight is a problem though – he’s only 5.7 kg or 12lb 9oz at 20 weeks! This has taken him off the chart so the doc wanted to do some tests, the urine and stool sample are no problem but he needed a blood test also. They had to take from a vein – he was so brave with the jabs – hardly cried at all – but he did not like the blood being taken. I was so upset, it just seemed to take ages and he was screaming so hard. Bloody waste also as his blood is normal. He’s doing really well with everything else, his development is right on track, he’s nice and pink, he’s alert and bright, but they are obsessed with his weight! I have to say it’s getting me down – not Ben’s weight as such but the reaction of the establishment. They told me I need to supplement him with formula, so for the last 2 days I’ve given him a bottle in the afternoon – he took about 150mls yesterday, but he’s been really sick since. He’s never vomited very much before, and he’s not keeping the breast milk down now either – how is this supposed to help him gain weight!!! Sorry girls but I’m seriously pissed off about it. I don’t know what to do for the best – and if I’m honest I don’t trust the advise of the pediatrician.
Anyway sorry to rant but what do you guys think??? Should I keep trying formula or leave well alone???
Bev xx
