Hi everyone,

thought id put on a quick post whilst Daniel is asleep.  The price you pay for him sleeping through the night is that he does not sleep much during the day!  Well we finally exchanged on the house yesterday(the buyer has been playing silly beggars for a while) but we actually move next week. We have so much to do and its much harder with a 3 month old!  Sometimes I dont know where to start, not helped by the fact that my hubby is a complete hoarder!

Well the wee one is beginning to wake so best go!

NG xxxx

Hi  NG,

Good luck with the move. Thanks God Artur it's good with almost the things because he packed, move and unpaked alone at the same time Evelyn born. You remember i stay with her for 2 weeks in hospital and he done all alone. So good luck and let us know how went.

All the best for you.

A nice day to everyone. I go out today to meet a friend so i can't be here but tomorrow i try.

Cristina.

Hey everyone

Wow its been so busy on here. Hope you are all alright.

Im just off to bed but thought I would do quick post. Toby is having quite a few solids now, his favourite so far is apple puree and he quite likes carrot and sweetcorn!! I love feeding him solids and it always gets so messy!! He is back to normal now so really pleased about that.

Will try and catch up properly over the weekend as got busy day tomorrow.

Loads of love to you all

Kirsty Xxx

Hi Everyone

NG - Hope the move goes well.

Kirsty - Isla is the same with her solids now. This is the first day she has had 2 solid feeds, parsnip & carrots for lunch and peas for dinner. She loved them all, she is a hungry monster. Wasn't too sure whether to give her the second solid feed at night so soon but think she must have been needing it as she wolfed the whole lot. Poor dog is disappointed that there were no left overs!

We are going tomorrow to get some pictures taken of Isla and the dog, that's if the dog will come close enough to get some pics of the 2 of them!

Hope all Mums and babies are well today

Hi everyone,

I went yesterday weight Evelyn and she put more in 1 week that in 2 weeks together. Now whe's 11£5oz (5,140g). Horray to my little one. she started too the weaning. I gave her yesterday 1 spoon of baby rice to try and she got all so today i gave her 2 and all at same. Friday i will try give her some soup. It's a shame is Artur been away again but next week he'll be here. I hope.

How are all the babies and mothers? Hope all well.

Cristina

Hello ladies, how you doing? Hope you and the babies are keeping well. The temperature here is at last dropping – it was only 31C when we out for our walk at 830 last night. I know you’ve had shocking weather in Blighty over the last few days, but if you were living with this heat you’d be praying for rain!

Vicky – how was your trip to Italy? Where did you stay? I just love Italy, the thought of all that wonderful food just makes my mouth water! Going there wont help the waistline – but what the hey - don’t’ they say 9 months on 9 months off and trying to loose weight in the autumn/winter is impossible!! I hope Logan enjoyed his first flight!

Laura – sorry to hear abut the bump, even when it’s a minor one it still shakes you. How did the photo shoot go?

Cristina – sorry to hear about Eve’s weight. I so sympathise with you Ben has dropped off the chart he’s not even gained 1lb since his last check up over 5 weeks ago. It’s such a worry – but I also think that the HV and docs place too much emphasis on charts! She sounds like she’s doing really well.

Julz – glad to hear Tyler’s a happier bunny and you can get out and about.

Pearl – good to hear from flower. Glad the Christening went well, and why am I not surprised there was a bit of drama involved!?

NG – congrats on exchanging contracts – when the moved planned for. Moving house is such a good time to clear out – though not easy with a baby in tow!

Kirsty – glad to hear Toby’s enjoying his solids – I’m really looking forward to Ben’s messy feeding sessions!

Es – soo pleased for you flower. Loads of glue coming your way. I was 14 weeks before I posted on here – didn’t want to t tempt fate either! Xxxx

We went for Benjamins check up on Saturday, the injections went ok – very lucky that he’s not really been affected by them. His weight is a problem though – he’s only 5.7 kg or 12lb 9oz at 20 weeks! This has taken him off the chart so the doc wanted to do some tests, the urine and stool sample are no problem but he needed a blood test also. They had to take from a vein – he was so brave with the jabs – hardly cried at all – but he did not like the blood being taken. I was so upset, it just seemed to take ages and he was screaming so hard. Bloody waste also as his blood is normal. He’s doing really well with everything else, his development is right on track, he’s nice and pink, he’s alert and bright, but they are obsessed with his weight! I have to say it’s getting me down – not Ben’s weight as such but the reaction of the establishment. They told me I need to supplement him with formula, so for the last 2 days I’ve given him a bottle in the afternoon – he took about 150mls yesterday, but he’s been really sick since. He’s never vomited very much before, and he’s not keeping the breast milk down now either – how is this supposed to help him gain weight!!! Sorry girls but I’m seriously pissed off about it. I don’t know what to do for the best – and if I’m honest I don’t trust the advise of the pediatrician.

Anyway sorry to rant but what do you guys think??? Should I keep trying formula or leave well alone???

Bev xx

Cristina - our posts crossed. So please Evelyn has gained some weight. I;m sure she'll go from strength to strength now she's started on solids! xx

Hi Bev,

Sorry to hear about Ben weight. I think if his been sich since that you should stop but it's hard to decide if you go with your feelings or what the doctors say. Last week HV was very worry with Evelyn weight so she told me to try give her between 580 and 600 ml per day. She manage that almost the days but yesterday they saw her lenght and it came under all the lines on chart so she want in 2 weeks time be measure again. Maybe if you try give him less of 150 ml but more times a day. That was what Eve had last week to put weight and she never been sick. Hope you don't mind suggest this because every baby it's different. Anyway hope Ben it's better soon and put weight. Sometimes these HV make us been so worry and sometimes it's for nothing.

All the best

Cristina

Hi ladies, well we move tomorrow so may not be able to post for a while!

Bev, when |I had to change to formula becaude Dan was not getting enough it took him a wee while to get used to it but he was not being sick.  are you sure its not a reaction to his injections? might be a poor coincidence,  its horrible when they are poorly you just wish they could tell you!  I hope he gets better soon, thinking of you!

NG
