Did a test this morning. Been feeling sicky for the last few weeks and tired but didn't want to do a test just in case I hadn't had a period because Oscar had been taking more milk from me. But turns out I am just pregnant!

Oh Rach how nice for you, well pleased.

Congratulations to all of you! I can't believe there are 3 of you about to give your babies a brother or sister. I'm with Steff cheering from the sidelines. You won't desert us on this thread though will you? I want to know how everything's going for you.

Harvey has started walking. He doesn't do it all the time but he takes about 4 or 5 steps if he wants to get somewhere and there's nothing to hold on to. He's sleeping a bit better too. Down at 8 and straight through until 5. He then has some milk and goes back to sleep until 7.

Can't believe the summer (what summer?) holidays are over and it's back to work full time on Monday. The babies will all be 1 before we know it.

Got to get ready for a football tournament.

Have a good weekend

Well done Harvey and for the walking and sleeping!

I know what you mean about the summer Kath. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we might get some good weather in September as we're off to Devon then.

I can't believe it, after all my stressing about getting Oscar some shoes we were in Mothercare this morning and they have a Clarkes in store as well, so while hubby was in the loo I decided to take a quick look at the shoes. All their crusiers were different to the ones I had seen in other stores so thought I'd take a chance and ask if they had any 4 1/2H ones. The lady disappeared and came back with 2 (yes 2!) different shoes in his size. Tried the first pair on and they were perfect so Oscar now has his first pair of shoes. The ones from Robeez arrived yesterday and although they are lovely we still struggled to get them on him so they'll be going back.

A big Congrats to you Rach....how exciting!!! You could be due same time as me if your last period was back end of june!!!!  Wow, this is getting really good.  I'm so excited!!!!

Well done Harvey - sounds like your doing really, not only walking but also giving mummy some sleep.  Kath, i dont think i will ever go away from this thread - you guys are ever so addictive!!!  Still not joined due april yet, might look them up tomorrow as off to bed now.

Rach, what week r you off to devon?  We were planning on going to south of france or greece next week but as still under 12weeks, you shouldnt really so we've decided to do somewhere in the uk...thinking of cornwall now but still cant decide although need to decide asap..

Aint it strange about Oscar's shoes when your not looking for something, it stares you in the face...glad you got the shoes for him.

I've seen 2 friends this weekend and they both looked at me and immediately, asked me if i was preg...i was going to lie but i just couldnt hold a straight face.  I'm so showing its unbelieveable...really noticeable.  Will be telling my boss on tues when i go in, that should be interesting!!!!

Kath did elliott win?

If I am as far pregnant as I think Lois I'll be due same day as you 4th April, Oscar was early so I think I'll stick with that date!!

We're off to Devon in 3wks, really hoping my scan date doesn't come back for the week I'm away! I'm so excited about this baby, not that I wasn't excited about Oscar but I was convinced something was going to go wrong so I didn't get carried away until well into 20wks if I remember correctly, but with this one I just want to tell everyone now!

I just feel like I've got my jelly belly back like I had straight after having Oscar, but people keep telling me how slim I look so obviously not looking too pregnant yet!

Anyway going to put my feet up and relax whilst Oz is asleep, I can't ever remember being this shattered when I was pregnant with Oscar

Hey Girls,

So first of all, a massive congrats to Lois and Rach H. To be honest, I would have put money on you both getting preggie soon! I was hoping you'd be on the due March thread! I've stopped posting on it to be honest, as I felt like no one talked to me... Kirst, good luck for your bonkfest. Do what we three have done, and don't try to conceive!!

Well, DJ has been in bed since 6pm. He was so tired he was grumbling and groaning while he was playing with his toys, floowed by screaming fits when he tumbled over. He didn't even want to drink his milk. I wouldn't mind but he had had a 1 hour nap at 1pm. It's amazing how he has changed from the child that doesn't sleep, to the boy who LOVES to sleep! I hope #2 is the same.

Well, I have evil-Nigella-Lawson-lookalike-midwife again. She is so charming. I walked into her office and she said "Wow, you have lost LOADS of weight, cos, i'm not being funny, but at the end of your last pregnancy, you were really fat" followed by "How do you spell your husband's name again? Oh well, if people will have these stupid foreign names, how can they expect people to know how to spell them?" DH was incensed when I told him. He says he doesn't want her round the house.

She did worry me though, cos she offered to whack the doppler on my tum to listen for the heartbeat. She says that its 50/50 at 12 weeks whether you can hear it or not. Well, guess what? SHE COULDN'T find the heartbeat. I felt really down when I left. Especially as I have got to wait for the 1st scan date now. She said it could be nearer 17 weeks due to the amount of pregnancies at the moment. Great.

May just ring the unit tomoz and try and pull a few strings.

Planning DJ's birthday parties (one friends, one family) at the mo. Here is the baby menu I have concocted:

  • Breadsticks
  • Tiny sandwiches of the finest dairylea
  • Cubes of mild cheddar
  • Organix crisps
  • Plain biscuits

Going to have party #1 at the soft play centre and party #2 chez nous. Pity I can't get sozzled on the champers. Has anyone got any more foody ideas for baby party food?

Well, better dash,

HAve a good night all!

Em I was only just thinking that you all should keep posting on here about new baby news, as we all wana be kept updated and any other thread just aint the same after this one, and hopefully I shall be joining you all soon,  te te he, we been using the old pulling out since Lili was born, now we have changed to the full on trying so Im so hoping in about 3 weeks I will have some good news. Change your midwife the cheeky moo, Ive got one of them doppler thingies and its hard to find it when baby is big not alone now hun so dont worry, bit*h she is. Im also planning the birthday party and cant wait your menu sounds yum, dont 4get the fruit bits, jelly and ice cream.

Lois you must have that glow about you that people can just tell!

Oh Em, she really is awful - imagine being that rude!!!!!  I really do think MWs should take some sort of personality test before being given their final qualifiactions.  I'm dreading meeting up with mine!!!!!! Awful woman but she's no where near as communicative as yours...hahaha!!!Atleast now i have a little bit more idea of what i will be going through so i wont let her stress me at all.

Kirst, was also doing the old pulling out but look where that got me!!!!!  But now your at it fully, i shall be expecting the announcement any day now.

Wow, Rach how cool we both will be having our first 2 the same months...anyone would think we planned it!!!

Em, that sounds like pretty much what i've seen at the ones i've been to - what about cucumber sticks?  They seem to be a hit each time and marmite sarnies seem to be well liked by most of the babies...i need to start thinking about what to do for ours as will be expecting atleast 10 babies and my house is not even that big...

Told my boss and she turned round and gave me a hug and said congrats and 'i was expecting it prob at the end of the year but not this soon'....and then started panickying about a project that i'm working on....so i had to try and calm her down to say the majority of it will be done.....when infact, my mind is def not on it and i'm so tired that i dont even know if i will get it finished.  I have to cos they've been so good to me and i really dont want to let her down.

Haha, i wish i was glowing Kirst - luckily the weather is not that great today so i've got a semi jumper on trying to cover me at work and i've pretty much sat at my desk today and people coming over to me and saying, whats the matter, your not your chatty self....i cant mingle cos i know if i get up, they will notice.  i'm on hol next week so when i come back the week after, i wont need to hide it then....

And Em, I wouldnt worry about the heartbeat - my MW saw me at Week 9 when i was carrying Skye and she didnt hear anything either...

Hiya!

I can't believe how many are preg again!  This is so exciting!  Make sure you don't forget us and keep us updated with every detail.

Em, I can't believe the cheek of your midwife!  Ask her to her face if you can change midwives, that should wipe the sarcastic smile off her face!  Horrible cow.

ATM, Emily is flat refusing to have her midday nap.  She empties  all the toys, teddies, dummies and blankets out of her cot and shouts at me because she has run out of things to fling over the side onto the floor.

I have just had a catalogue through the post for 1st birthday parties.  It has banners, streamers, plates, hats, lots of which can be personalised.  I probably won't buy from it, but it has given me some ideas which I can either do myself or buy cheaper locally.  I found a great shop called Floatations for balloons and pretties when I was planning my wedding, I'm sure I can go back for a birthday party.  They do online shopping to, and she was sooo helpful and generous with her ideas.

Kath, you don't fancy doing this again?  lol!  Nor do I!  I think we're done now.

Well, I'm stuck in the house today.  Hubby has taken the car for MOT,and forgot to take the pram out of the boot.  Cheers babe!

Right, Madam has finally dropped off

Love to all

Em, I can't believe the cheek of your midwife! She doesn't seem to have any people skills. You'll have to think of something really rude to say to her in a really nice tone of voice and see if she notices.

Steff, it's not that I don't want another baby but we haven't got space, can't afford it and I would lose my responsibility at work - which we can't afford. I also had to have an amnio last time and I'm not getting any younger - the risks go up the older you get. OH is on the list for the snip as I can't rely on the pulling out. Every time we've decided to try for a baby I've got pregnant the first time!

Speaking of work I've just been given a project to do involving the sixth form and more money for doing it! Hooray!

I'm glad ypu 3 are all pregnant at the same time, it means you can really understand what you're all going through with 2 babies the same age.

I can't believe you've got parties planned already - I need to do 2 lots as Elliott's birthday is 9 days after Harvey's.

Better go and take Elliott to bed, school tomorrow.

Hi Kath,

I know what you mean, if I won the lottery in the next couple of years I might do it again.  The house is too small, I'd have to employ a cleaner/maid coz I'm so lazy and I'm 35 very soon.

Em's birthday falls in the middle of a glut of birthdays.  Dad on the 18th, brother on 20th, Em on 30th and Mum on 3rd Nov.  I have to be organised!

I went back on the pill at my 6 week check, and when Em is a year old and we make the final decision not to have any more he will se about having the snip.  He is 41, Em is our 4th child, I don't think we'll be missing too much by not having any more.

Another little acheivement - Emily drank her whole breakfast bottle all by her self this morning.  **beam**

Love to all

Hi All

Wow!  Congrats to you Rach!  I am so excited for you!  Are you sure you Lois and Em didn't get together and plan this lol??  I am also very jealous!  I cannot WAIT to be pregnant again!  Lilly is not a little baby anymore!

Glad you got the shoe thing sorted Rach!  They are very restrictive on what sizes they sell!

Well done to Harvey for walking and Emily for drinking her bottle herself!  Lilly is still not walking properly! She does like 2/3 steps and then falls on her bum!  Ha ha ha ha!  Oh well she will do it eventually!

Well Lilly drinks from her beaker on her own now and she has started to feed herself with her spoon too!  She is getting really good too!  I got some of the Annabel Karmel red spoons and they are brilliant!  They are dead easy to hold and they hold lots of food too!  Gosh my little girl is really growing up now sigh!

Hey Girls!

Well firstly well done to the little achievers this week!

Lois thanks for the party tips, I tested a marmite sandwich on DJ today and he scoffed it, so that should be a good one to offer!

Well, my poor little lad has got his first dose of nappy rash. Its a bad one too. Raised bright red angry bumps all over his sprinkler and baby bels. He has had slight redness before on one occasion, but this has come on overnight. Rang the Doctors Surgery but they said they could only offer emergency appointments. So gotta get up early tomoz to try and get one then.

A bit peed off with the NHS at the moment. The earliest dating scan I can get is at 16+4 weeks. I rang the hospital and asked to go on standby for an earlier date, but the Sister said cancellations are rare, and people generally just don't turn up instead of bothering to cancel. GRR. Looked into going private, but DH reckons I won't gain anything. Oh and also, nasty Nigella Lawson lookalike midwife was slated by the Sister in charge for even attempting to dopple me!

Kath, I love the idea of saying a horrid thing and smiling. Problem is, she is very attractive and slim, so not sure where to go with that! Steff, I like your idea too, but unless she made me really mad, or insulted my son, I wouldn;t have the balls!! Kirst, I agree, she is a b*tch, but she's one of those people that everyone seems to love. Maybe I just don't 'get' her?

Lois and Rach, hope you aren't feeling too rough at the mo. I feel ok now i'm 13 weeks tomoz. I was lying in bed last night, and i really felt like I could feel tiny movements. I said this last time with DJ. I wonder if i'm imagining it? Mind you, as I found labour SHEER AGONY maybe I have a very sensitive uterus.

Rach, are you gonna go for a VBAC this time around? Also, think we will discover the sex of the baby if we can, cos I need to organise my house. It really feels like a shoebox now. Its a 3 bed, but in all fairness the 3rd bedroom can barely be classed as a bedroom. Its TINY!

Well, gonna go and put a dye on my hair. I'm getting grey hairs coming through quicker than I can pull them out....
