hiya kate

i only lasted until 6pm - really didn't want to run the risk of a screaming match @ bath time, still good though 'cause she went down @ 6.35 sleepy and fell straight asleep.  i can handle getting up at 6.30am as long as i've had some sleep, so i'm defo getting an early night! WhenGrace wakes for her feed tonight i'm just gonna keep it to a minimum - she's still got wind and don't wanna make it worse!!!  she's had some baby gaviscon that i got from doc a wee while ago so i'm hoping that will help her tummy, on a positive note she's had 2 poo nappies today so her tummy must have been a bit bunged up!!!!!

i hope nate is good for you tonight as well as every other night to follow.  i think if we stay positive and not lose it then it will all work out eventually!  I usually just puree a mix of veg for grace, i always put in some courgettes 'cause they seem to help her poo (sorry if tmi!), i've not pureed any meat yet, but i puree fruits too and put them in her porridge sometimes.

could really go a glass of vino but none in house!!!  think i've done well not to drink after the week i've had!!! gonna wait and buy a bottle of champagne for hubby coming home!

hope you all have a lovely night

morning girls

yas - my night was terrible, grace up at 10, 12, 2 & 4.30 - each time i left her for 5 mins to settle and she ended up screaming worse (i usually know when she's gonna settle), 3 out of the 4 times i latched her on and she was actually feeding.  i'm going to see hv today and see what she says...

we don't get a check between 7=9 months which i think is terrible!

yas - glad to hear you getting out and about, it's sunny here just now but bet that won't last!

susan - glad to hear your two are doing well, they're a credit to you!

going to get some breakfast & ultra strong coffee

Morning all xx

Helen - Hope you feel better soon xx

Yas - I can't get Isobel to have lumpier food either as she does the same. How do you get them to have lumpier food?, i have tried letting her gum a rusk but all she did was fill her mouth  right up and then couldn't swallow it as she had too much in there lol have tried her on bananna n she gagged on that. Haven't tried again recently as i hate seeing her gagging and being sick plus she always looks so disappointed that i have made her waste food lol

Sharon - Grace is beautiful xx

Susan - glad the HV is pleased xx

Oh and when i went back to boots yesterday (I am addicted to that place, have to admit i have been every day in the last 2 weeks ) they had lots of perfume and aftershave reduced!! great for xmas prezzies!!!

hi everyone, just to let you know.

i never really listened to my health visitor on the weaning side, but i have an advantage over most of you most mums that i have already got 3 growing up sons.   so basically i just went off weaning them with the same things as the twins.  Kerisha is able to cope with lumpy foods, but kai still perfers smooth blended foods.

I say Go with your instincts, at end of the day, my mum and her mum etc didnt have people telling them what to do etc.  and they had larger familys then too.  they came through wars, rashins etc with 7 and 8 or more kids.

all babies are different and develop at their own pace.  twins esp mine are 2 totally different little people with totally different needs, kai being one who needs the most attention, kerisha is more independant and is low maintenance.

We never get taught motherhood but its something that we learn for ourselves etc.  some grasp it quicker than others, we are all learning all the time.  good luck just wish we all lived a little closer we  could have had a reunion where we could have met each other and the babies for a huge big party.

xxx got to go give twins their lunch now  chat soon xxxxxxxxxxxx

hi susan

you're totally right!  babies do what they do, there's not much we can do about it!!! ha ha.

well, i've been out this afternoon and got me a swimsuit from boots for £9!!!  they didn't have much other stuff left, but i've bagged more vouchers so i'll be able to get quite a few christmas presents - yay

i took grace to see hv and she just said to try everything to ease the night times, she said not to feed her thru night though in case she gets too used to it - i know she's right, looks like more floor pacing for me tonight!!!!  i'm exhausted too. gonna spend tonight putting fake tan on, doing my nails etc - always like to look nice for hubby coming home, and i defo need to do something about the bags under my eyes!!!!

love to everyone

xxxxx

morning everyone

well i have a busy day today got builders coming back in at 10.00 they say got to pop to ikea before then to get two blinds, got doctors app at 1.30 then when come back try and put blinds up, hoping the builders will be finished by 1.15 if not they will have to go and have lunch somewhere and hope they come back, then me and hubby have to go see soli at 4.45 im tired just thinking about it will come on here in between all this if get 5

hope everyone is ok nothing but rain here and its hassan first time in propper car seat in the car he no longer fits in the carrier his legs hang over and when he is put in the car he has to bend his legs so its car seat time

roll on tomorrow as were going to order my new car got hubby car at the min at its not really suitable for a family of 3 its nice but im use big cars

sharon how was your night with grace

Show/hide user stats

hey yas

phew, i'm tired just reading what you';ve gotta do!!  hope it all goes ok, good for you getting blinds up!! wish i could do stuff like that!!!

well grace had a much better night.  she went down asleep @ 7pm, woke @ 11.30pm crying bad, rubbed some bonjela and cuddled her in until she went drowsy again, then she only woke @ 3.30am for a feed and then up @ 7am.  god i feel great with the sleep ive had!  i'm not gonna kid myself that it's all better now 'cause her gums are really inflamed today but at least i know that it's not me who is doing things wrong.  she's much happier today playing on her mat  any  & bum shuffling her way round the room!! ha ha.

gonna go get shower, going for a walk with one of the mums from my tots group, then my friend coming round who is just back from Oz so can't wait!!!

how is everyone else?

kate - how is Nate doing? is he sleeping any better for you?

love to everyone & babies
