Hi Girls,

hey kezo he slept really good last night which was bliss\ as i had a intervew today. he slept today 2.5 hrs after lunch!!Then stayed up till dinner which was good!Still snoty tho lol. Have not seen any new teeth yet. He only has the bottom two.

i have tried the fruits i have mentioned but stickto mango pear banana blueberries and apple but i also use frutapura fruit pots when out etc. When i do his fruit i mix it as well esp mango and nectarine which i can freeze but for brekkie he will have porridgewith blended up banana, mango or blueberries. I dont cook apple just give it to him in segments .

theo does sometimes up to 4/5 poos a day but usually around 2/3 a day. They dark and harder like putty sometimes more pellet like . when he was on normal milk it was very very smelly, mushy, runny and green! Soz hope no on is eating thier dinner. maybe Tilly is teething? Theo also has lots of fruit and veg .

Fingers crossed for the job its a job i really really really want!

Yeah good luck Eva on the job if its one you want.

And thanks all for the poo advice feel loads better knowing your lot are propper pooper troopers too!

I give Tilly ready break or 1 weetabix with a bit of 1 type of fruit,  I just mush or grate depending what it is. She doesn't eat the whole helping of breakie but I don't expect her too- a whole weetabix is alot for a little belly. We share it really. Bought a mango today do I have to cook it?

Hi Ladies!!

Yeah Good luck Eva! Im sure ur get it!!

Kezo- yeah Lucy can have that many a day!!  im terrible always making a mental note of what its like!! lol

went to baby clinic today & Lucy's doing well which im pleased about! I asked about finger foods etc & theyv basically told me she can have anything!! they told me fingers of sandwiches, toast, carrot sticks, bread sticks , loads of fruit - broccoli florets! I was quite amazed at some of it so i went shopping after & bought loads of fruit & veg & she had a lovely lunch which she ate it all!!(whilst spreading it everywhere) she had a philladelphia sandwich with some sticks of slightly cooked carrot then afew slices of pear & melon for pud & she loved it!! especially the sandwich so thats brilliant!! Im so happy as it means i dont have to do her cooked dinners twice a day! she had maceroni cheese for tea & a yog for pudding! she's 21lb 5oz & 77cm long!  tooooo bloody long! iv had to put her in 9-12month trousers already!!   bit excited about giving her the broccoli florets as its gona be a fun & messy tea time!! lol they told me to let her play with it & eat it at the same time so she enjoys eating new things &  itl be a good experience for her! for the first time in 7 1/2months a had a nice health visitor who was very helpful!! AMAZING!!!lol

Hows everyone doing??  hows all babys growth & height doing??

off to bed now - put Lucy in her own room last night & AHHHHHHH PEACE!! she slept through till 7.30am!! AT LAST!!  hopeful for the same again tonight!!

Night all.xxxxx

Well it's my last day of maternity leave - back to work on Monday. Charlie has spent 2 half and one full day in nursery this week but still not looking forward to leaving him on monday. Where has the time gone??
Show/hide user stats

Hope you enjoyed your last day Vicki, sorry bet you've said but are you doing full or part time.

Its frightening how fast its going, this time last year the thought of Tilly even being here seemed ages off, and now shes nearly 7 months old.

Am sure you'll settle back into work fine, you just get into a routine. He'll have a ball at nursery with all the other kids, its you who'll find it hard, but after a few days am sure you'll be fine. And you won't have to worry about making his dinners and teas, so one job less. If it was worthwhile money wise for me to go back I would, I did with Louis and it really is easier working than staying off with them.

Eva have you heard about the job yet hun?

Tilly has had an awful couple of days with her peggies, number 2 on its way but it really hurting her. Yesterday was up from 3.30am, she took over an hour to settle at first and then was waking every half hour and even with calpol and the usual she just couldn't settle with it. She was so tired all day, thought she'd of slept better last night because of it but she was worse. I had to go up at least 4 or 5 times before I even went to bed, then again she woke at 3am and same thing. Shes on nap number 2 now and am hoping she has a couple of hours to try and make some sleep up. I hope these bloody teeth hurry up and come.

Take care all xx

hey

Vicki yeh time gone so so so fast! You quite lucky being a teacher you get to fin early etc. How are you going to get Charlie ready in the mornings. I was thinking of letting him drink his milk on his own from a beaker or was going to try the avent trianing kit thing witht the handles ( like the one i the cow and gate laughing toothy babies add lol!)

The tomme tippie spill is far too messy! Then would want them to give him his breakfast etc. What alese can i do to speed the morning process up- at curetn takes like 3 hrs ( i have shower whilst he has mid morn nap!0

Kezo the director called me on fri so anyway i told them all about theo and my situation etc. She grilled me hard! She want the peoiion filled asap and think she aksing to much said i could start working even tho i still on mat leave from previous employer- i swear you cant do that!! Well well see what happens not gonna stress if i dont get it wil just mean more time with theo and i have booked a swiming course fr us!

havent been on here for ages got lots of catching up to do lol. chelsey is now 31weeks old and weighs 15lb 1oz and 66cm long, she is crawling, standing up and sitting herself up bless her and has her 2 bottom teeth, but she isnt sleeping at night argh!! she only goes 2hours at a time then wakes for a bottle little moo lol, she wont eat solids but health visitor said not to worry she will take it in time which isnt much use as want her to take it so maybe she'll sleep longer at night!
Show/hide user stats

Crawling already! How exciting for you but the nights must be horrendous! Solids certainly helped fill Charlie up and he def sleeps better.

Thanks for your nice comments about me going back to work tomorrow. Sadly Kezo I am back full time as the Head couldn't offer me part time (well he did offer part time bit it would've meant I still had to go in every day so no point) so I chose to go back full time. Charlie has had 2 half and one full day at nursery last week and was fine so I know he'll be ok, just sad that he has to go 5 days a week. Had really hoped to work 3 or even 4 days so I would spend more time with him but as I said it wasn't on offer.

Eva - I still breast feed the first morning feed as it takes 5 mins max compared to up to 20 for a bottle feed. We practised last week on one of the days he went to nursery. OH gives him his porridge while I have my breakfast but we leave him to sleep while we shower and dress so that makes life easier. I know that it will still be a rush tho and know that we will have mishaps like him being sick on one of us as we are about to leave the house.....! You are right though that I can leave work by 4pm most days and we have amazing holidays so although he's at nursery full time we will still get more time with him than a lot of people get. Just feeling a bit sad now though that the maternity leave has come to and end. I have enjoyed it (well apart from the early weeks). It has been such a special time. Those of you still off work - enjoy every minute.

Hey everyone!

Hope uv all had good weekends!!   Im crapping myself about going back to work tomorrow!! im trying not to think about it but its really worrying me!! its not so much the leaving Lucy bit, its the learning a new role & everything!! Iv been lucky - im working 8.30-1.30 so i still get my afternoons to do things with my lil princess! feel sorry for u Vicki!! havent had a settling in period either  as childminders been on holiday & work need me to start tomorrow so thats abit of a pain but im sure itl be fine as Lucy is such a happy baby & there's hardly anyone she's met that she hasnt liked!   I took her over to where im gona be working the other day & it was the weirdest thing, she actually went really bashful & coy around one of the blokes i work with! iv never seen her like that b4!  she loves men(proper tart already)lol but iv never seen her like that!  it looked like how i'd behave if i saw someone i liked! lol

Lucy has started getting on all 4's & rocking herself back & forth so she's so close to crawling now at the moment its army crawling!! lol

right im off to bed as i need to prepare myself for the HORENDOUS day tomorrow!! godd luck Vicki.    Hope all mummys & babies are good!!

Hey good luck mummys going back to work 2 moz,

xx

Hi Mummies,

Vicki you will be prob too busy/tired to chat as much now but good luck let me know how it went! I dont know how i  will mamnage it as Theo has milk on waking then an hr or 1.5 hrs later will have breakfast which for some reason always reluctant these days to take it.I let him take his own milk now but not sure what to do about breakkie will have to ask the nursery if they give it and what time.

Bex good luck too alse let me know how the morning routine was for you!!You guys got it great! When i go back will be full time plus travleeing abroad which is bit i dread! I dont know how i will fit picking him up and droping him in the set times of nursery .Whats the new job?

x

So excited got the new job but they want me to start 15th September!!!ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Show/hide user stats

oh wow, congratulations Eva!! thats great!!   what are u gona be doing?? & why travelling abroad??  Morning schedule went great, we got up at 7am & had brekkie at 7.30 then she had her bottle at the childminders at about 9.30.

I felt absolutly AWFUL leaving her this morning!!  it was quite funny though cause she didnt cry or anything & went to the lady fine so i walked out so i didnt start blubbing infront of the lady & felt a horrible guilt all morning! but she was good as gold, didnt cry or anything! kept to her schedule & everything! i actually ran to the car to go & pick her up & got there & she was more interested in the girls playing outside than me!! lol, the c/minder said she'd probably cry tomorrow though & the next day so O/H is taking her  for now! hehe.

work went ok, im working in the bodyshop of the car dealership, im the administrator so in charge of all invoicing, insurance companies, debt collecting, loads really!  but coped ok this morning & had nothing to do for an hour so re-arranged things how i wanted them!!  got a massive office to myself which is BRILLIANT!! lol

How did u get on Vicki??  hope Charlie didnt make u cry too much this morning!

Hope everyone else is well & all babies!!xxxxxxxx

xxxxxx

Hey

Oh Bex it wil get better but Lucy obv loved it! I took theo to nursery to see it and he totally forgot about me they said he was really confident and happy and i was lucky so i am happy now!

Starting new job ios so scary but you are lucky that you are doing part time. What a handy job if you have a car no more getting ripped off by garages and discount on cars!!FAB!!!  Does it work out ok financially to work part time ( sorry for the probing Q) as i figured with our income i would have to do full times as the benefits are better , pensions, holidays etc so outweighed it a bit. Would have liked part time tho but the job load would be tougher.

I am really happy with my new job it is buying and production assistant for Jojo Maman Bebe i am so excited. The travel is to meet supplier in europe and far east and for photo shoots as i will be working on the catalogue photo shoots etc! I poss might be able to take theo and a carer with me iwhen i m on location shooting. I may need to call on you mummies who are familiar with the brand later down the line ! The best thing is that they know about theo and have been fantastic and really undertanding/flexible. I will be sad to go back buts seeing how he is so happy at nursery has made me fel totlly comfortable with the going back to ork predicament!

Vicki let us know how you get on to.

Wow Eva that sounds a fab job, and so glad Theo loved nursery, hope it all works well, especially after the arses you worked for before Theo. How does it fit in with your OH, will you still get plenty of time together?

Tilly isn't very well, I had thought it was her teeth but think shes had a virus. Her temp was up for few days, yesterday it was back to normal but she was covered in a rash. In herself she was back on form so wasn't too worried, I spoke to NHS and they went through loads of stuff and said it was probably post virul rash. Today shes been horendus, no temp, rash still there but she crying and crying. Shes been up since 6.30, and is knackered but getting her to sleep and to stay asleep is not easy. Don't know what to do now, feel a dick going to Dr when it prob just her teeth as she no temp, but am getting worried. Also its practically impossible to get calpol down her, it ends up everywhere. Today cant end quick enough.

Hi law law nice to hear from you, what a mare with the feeding/sleeping. What age did you start trying to wean, and yeah not much help to say she'll take it in time. Does she sleep between everybottle, what amounts is she having. Tilly doesn't sleep through completely, she doesn't have any bottles but can wake few times between bedtime and actually getting up.

Right going to try and get some lunch, breakfast was the remains of Tillys weetabix, she didn't have much.

Hi everyone. Congratulations on the job Eva. When do you start? It sounds fantastic and I guess you'll get a good discount off their stuff!

Well I've done 3 days now. Charlie loves nursery and is very happy, the staff are smitten with him which is lovely. The only problem is that he cries when we collect him. As soon as we walk in he sees us and bursts into big floods of tears...has done it every day apart from one including his 3 sessions last week. Think he just gets confused or has forgotten that we exist and then we suddenly re-appear. Poor little mite! I haven't cried since the first time I left him although my first day back on Monday was hard as I was leaving him for real rather than just a practise. I really miss him but at least the day goes pretty quickly as work is son busy with the new term starting. I find the mornings a bit stressful with trying to get up, showered, fed as well as getting charlie ready and fed. Plus he won't feed from me in the mornings now. Think its cos he's always had laid back mornings where he might be up for half an hour or so before having milk. Plus he's started biting when I feed him which really hurts. But overall am just over the moon that he's settled into nursery so well and so quickly.

Hope Lucy has been ok the past 2 days Bex.
