hiya,
i'm in hospital, have had a pain in my back since yesterday 4pm. they don't know what the pain is and no painkillers are touching it. they have decided that the best thing to do is get baby out. so I have already had a sweep and they said they're gonna induce me as soon as there's space in the delivery suite.

anyway it's difficult to write on here. speak when i go home.
x

Hi ya,

OMG hun, i hope you and baby will be ok and thank you for letting me know, sounds like you have been in slow labour like we thought as you have had back pain for about a week now.

I look forward to hearing of you when you and baby are back home again.  I hope bf is looking after you as well.

take care

Good Luck Nikki!

I hope all goes well. My 1st baby was induced and he was here within 5 hrs.

keep us posted hunni xxx

Im 18 weeks now with the 6th one. I saw the consultant last Monday because I told my midwife I wanted an elective caeserean. All went well and the consultant has booked me in Royal Cornwall Hospital for 29th December to have my baby. The only bit I dont like is the spinal injection. It doesn't hurt as such but it makes you twinge. after i've had that they can do what they like! Hell!.... it beats trying to squeeze a basket ball out of  your nether regions (ouch)

I thought it'd be a good time for hubby to have the chop aswell as that takes about 3 mths to get the all clear. Hopefully i'll be a bit better then aswell.

Hiya,

Just a quick one to say I'm home and still pregnant. I've got rib flair and they're hoping that that's what's causing the constant pain, they don't know why the painkillers haven't been working and basically they don't care because it's me that's in pain and baby seems happy.
I should be on properly 2moro now that I'm home.

Hope you're well anyway,
Speak soon,
x

OMG! curiosity got the better of me and I watched a caeserean on you tube! Its kinda grusome....... having said that, natural birth doesn't look much better! At least i wont feel the caeserean. Dont fancie having my poor fan stretched from here to next week! If you're squeemish dont look on you tube. Its true when they said 'curiosity killed the cat!'. I have no desire to have any more babies after this one. ( shame i didn't see it before the 1st 5.... EEEeek!) xxxx

LOL. I've watched the videos and there was only one that put me off and that was where they cut the lady down there to get the baby out. The c-sections and normal births didn't bother me.

Hi hope you dont mind me posting. I am ttc and overweight, i jsut wanted to know if i fell pregnant whilst still overweight do you ahave to have specialist care and would thy put me off having a hiome birth? Thanks

Hi Emma.

I was over weight with my last baby ( i was 13 stone and im 5ft 4').

I wanted a home birth and they said yes. Sadly he was breech and i had an elected

c section, (which was my choice). But prior to that a home birth was the plan. I had 2 home births before that.

I think it depends on 'how over weight' you are. im s'pose to be 11 1/2 stone at the most. so i was 1 1/2 over weight. If you're very over weight you will have more ante natal appointments but that doesn't mean there's a problem.

If it's your 1st baby then it's best to have it in the hospital as no one knows what to expect. If you've already had babies before and all went well, there's no reason really why they should say no to a home birth. hope this helps you a bit.

xx

Hiya,

Just to let you know I had baby Kamran on Tues 5/8/08 at 3:56pm weighing 7lb 8.5oz.
All is well, we came home yesterday.

Hope you're ok Susan, haven't spoken to you for a while.

Emma - My BMI was 39 pre pregnancy, and I wouldn't have been allowed a home birth because I have PCOS, so was under consultant care because of that.
Sorry that's not any help.

CONGRATULATIONS NIKKI! Hope you and baby are well.

Dunno what my BMI was? to be honest i don't think they were overly bothered this time.

They dont seem as interested, but I think its coz im a 6th timer.

Alot of em think coz i've done it so often i should be a proffesional and know everything.

xxx
