Is it just me or are there absolutely no baby cycle helmets to fit a small one year old?

I recently bought a cycle carriage to attach to the back of my bike so that my 1 year old could come out on bike rides with me but the only helmet I can find to fit is a Thudguard, which is great but really isn’t a cycle helmet as such.

I tried my neighbour’s 45cm head circumference cycle helmet on my little girl but it slips all over the place and puts her head in a compromising position of pushing forward as the ridge at the back is bulky.  My hubby says it’s not compulsory to for them to wear a cycle helmet in the carriage and if I really feel strongly about it, well at least the Thudguard is better than nothing and would offer some degree of safety but what would you do?

Hi, I got my son a helmet from Halfords when he was ten mnonths (he is now 5) for when we went on bike rides as he sat in seat at the front of the bike. You can get helmets which come with extra padded strips to put inside so that the helmet fits correctly. Try Halfors (in store is better as you can try the  helmets on and the staff can help you get the correct fit) as they have a large range of helmts designed for kids.

good luck x
