Hi, my son Isaac has just turned one and is in a head banging stage. He will sit in front of a door wall or radiator and throw his head back so it bangs. If I look at him he will smile and carry on, if I ignore him he will do it even harder and shout and if i move him away and say 'no' he just goes back or finds another place and keeps doing it!. This last for about 10 minutes, he will then crawl off giggling. He does not do this as part of a tantrum, he just finds it funny.

My eldest son (now 5) used to head bang but in a different way. He would bang his head during a tantrum and would headbut the floor, we over came this by putting a pillow down and ignoring him.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thank you

x

Ryan is 10months and he keeps on banging his head with everything that comes in his way. my nose, forehead and even my  head.  is this something normal with kids??? i'm afraid that he might injure himself.
