Hi Rachel, I don't know about the repeat blood test but may be it has something to do with your iron level, possible could be borderline so they need to check and see what it is like in a couple of weeks.

I'm not finding out the sex. What about you?

Anyone felt movements yet? I thought it would be more obvious second time around but I still sit there and think was that the baby?!?!

hi all, i have my scan on 10th december and yes i cant wait to find out what sex it is, although i am convinced im having a girl!

i am nearly 17 weeks and have felt baby move only tiny little niggles but i remember thats how it felt with my son when i was 21 weeks, so yeh i do believe you feel them alot earlier with your 2nd 3rd baby!

anyway hope all are well and blossoming nicely. take care, xx

Hi all

My wife (Mel) is due to give birth on the 21st April (just a few days shy of our wedding anniversary).  Nice to hear tales from other people that have the same wait on their hands!

We have the 20wk scan on the 27th Nov - big dilemma in the Parsons household......do we find out the sex?!?  Mel says no...I say yes....only one winner there I think!

On a serious note, Mel is getting a bit of pressure from her mother and mine about finding out the sex of the baby.  Problem being that I was one of three boys and Mel was one of three girls so each parent wants it to be the other (if you see what I mean).  Thats one of the reasons why she doesn't want to find out..worried about being judged - any other mums to be had the same feeling I wonder?

I'm struggling to understand that point of view to be honest, but then again, I stopped trying to understand women a long time ago

I hope all is well with everyone and that all dads to be are as excited as me.

I'm in the office at the moment so must crack on - just thought I'd say hello to everyone.

Cheers all

Chris (Bristol)

PS - If not done so already, I'd recommend that dad receives the weekly development email from thinkbaby.  Its really good from a dad point of view as I can really 'feel' whats going on.  Mel loves it when I explain the latest baby developments and how much it weighs!  We worked out that it currently weighs as much as half a small onion and a small kitchen knife combined.  Perhaps we have too much time on our hands!!
